You know, I disagree with any personal attacks. On the other hand good argument is the “spice of life” and very worthwhile. We never should be dissuaded from this.
I support all the argument, whatever side. Political disagreement is vital for our society. The well reasoned argument is the basis for our democracy. We all should support “I disagree with what you say but will defend to the death your right to say it.” Everyone should argue their point. I am only sorry I am not sufficiently articulate. My grandfather was editor of the Princetonian and wrote much opposed to the administration. He and President Wilson eventually became friends in opposition. What little we do here can possibly have a significant influence. Don’t sell it short. Best, Grady |
I have to abstain so I don't get banned, I'll leave it at that.

I honestly didn't think I would like Pat. I thought he would be a grumpy old man that was overly opinionated and manipulatng. I was soooo wrong. After meeting him, I look at his posts and threads now, when I used to ignore them. Then I laugh because most of his oposers are a big brown bear and Pat is the guy with a stick poking at the bear. He is the Mul wrapped in a different wrapper. |
I have gone back and read some of the accolades FP has received and the strange thing to me is that people who have met him change their opinion of him, I suppose that is fine if you get the opportunity or desire to meet him. If not, then how do we get to see that genteel side of this poor forlorned individual.
I thought this was about internet persona not personal contact. Not that I really give a shlt. |
Fastpaste +1.
Nothing personal, but I will not miss his posts. True southerners do not benefit from those who move here from California and then perpetuate bad stereotypes. Anyway, there wasn't much original thought to Pat. Everything mentioned seemed to come straight from a League-of-the-South meeting or web site. Kind of like "Klan-lite". |

I was born and raised in NY and last I checked RoninLB was in NY and Rick isn't exactly in the south..... oh and that couple from Monteal... I guess Canada is the new South. To call our Pelican meet Klan like is sort of in poor taste. It was not a Fast Pat meet, I met him there and spent one evening drinking and eating with him, the rest of the time I drove my car on some killer roads. |
