What kind of silly analogy is that? What do we expect? We expect Americans to refrain from supporting our enemies during wartime...WTF do you expect?

Just as I thought, he advocates collaboration with enemies of America. finststone calls for accepting the ministrations of a benevolent dictatorship if it comes here for "out own good".

Status quo for a statist.

Then lets differentiate between "calling for" and "celebrating" their deaths.

Pat clearly feels that the greater good and the spirit of justice has been served when an Iraqi or insurgent kills one of our boys over there.

I can follow his logic too and I see how he got there.........but it doesn't make it any less fukced up to say it, people here have kids and family over there. It's like cheering on the bar thug that beats the **** outta your brother because he hit on his wife, even if your brother had it coming you back his ass up or at the very least you don't root the other guy on. Have a little tact.

Your personal analogy doesn't carry over to governments. Governments aren't people.

I was talking about soldiers Pat, and they are very much people.

No, you aren't being truthful. You're loyal to government and could care less about people. You've stated as much many times. You're fintstone-lite.

He has far exceeded that by calling for the death of his countrymen at the hand of terrorists. That is lower than the stuff one scrapes from their shoe.

+2 and then some. I've never understood those that have this buring desire to to burden others with their narrow-minded opinions. There are also social guidelines on the proper way to treat others with repect and being open to what they have to say. Pat hasn't read that book...

Whoever mentioned that we don't get his humor, I've never read anything close to humor from AssFat's posts......He's the only person on my Ignore list......

Same here...the only one on my ignore list too. Unfortunately he attracts so much ire that others repost/quote his drivel so I end up having to read far more than I would like.

That would have been me. I didn't say Ya'll didn't get the humor, I said I do. The humor is that I can see Pat sitting at his computer, drinking a glass of wine, laughing at how wound up people get by simply not agreeing with him.
heres an idea........don't read his stuff if you don't like him.
I like Pat, I don't agree with alot of his ideas but so what. I also don't agree with everything that comes out of my wifes mouth, and have happily disargeeing for 21 years now. :)

I've stated nothing of the sort. Fabrication isn't your style Pat.

Unfortunately, I wish to now retract my earlier statement from above. I see that he is up to the same childish nonsense as before (http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/322371-ok-here-we-go-best-thread-06-nominations-please.html). It is truly amazing that for as many times as he has been 'shamed into the corner' by his own convoluted and discombobulated ramblings he still is adamant about always wanting to be right (or is it simply negative attention he is pursuing)?

I guess that some people simply cannot change nor grow up...

Perhaps you can tell us how you can give the Iraqi's "freedom and democracy" without killing hundreds of thousands of them.

Perhaps you can tell us how you justify killing over 650,000 people.

Hmmm....(?)

If I attempted posting political items in the Tech forum, I would indeed be a troll. Additionally, most of what I post isn't controversial to learned people. Most who find it controversial do so because it flies against their received "everyone knows it's true" knowledge.

For example, I want to have and have stated that the miklitary should be about 90% smaller than it is today. That's controversial to those who can't imagine a small military system in America, indeed I myself have never seen that, but my father did, as did his father. In fact, during all of the existence of America, a huge, threatening military has only been in existence during about 20% of the time, the other 80% saw virtually no or extremely small military services. That means that having a tiny military service shouldn't be controversial at all, but it threatens ideas held by others. So, to them, it is controversial.
