How does MySpace work?
Today I get third hand information that my daughter has a MySpace page which contains something "bad". No details, just innuendo. Personally, I don't believe it, but you never know with teenagers. I'd like to check it out, but was unable to find anything using the search function provided. I have talked to her about internet safety and MySpace in particular in the past and she has told me she hasn't posted anything on there. Yadda yadda. I know if I ask her point blank she will deny it and probably take it down immediately. So what's the secret of finding a specific MySpace page?

10 year old says you have to create your own myspace page then get into it and at the top is a search function and you can do first or last name or email address, says the email search is the best way.

You can probably search through the internet cache on the computer she uses at home to find it....

Good point Chris--That should work. I work with mostly 20-somethings and they all have a MySpace page. At the ripe old age of 36 I have no idea how to navigate thru myspace--my wife has a page and loves it. Pelican is enough internet for me.
Hetmann, can you ask your daughter to show her page to you? Teenagers and independence is a fine line I know. |

Three of my sisters are school teachers, and they are constantly amazed at the stuff kids post there that they think teachers and schools aren't going to see. Teenagers who are honest with their opinions will tell you they have the world figured out pretty completely. In reality, it's a miracle they can dress themselves.
