SOCal WInd Today - My Baby Dodges a BIG Bullet!

When its gonna drizzle like 1/2" here we get "Storm Watch 2006" warnings on local TV - it's stupid but funny. So, we were told strong winds were coming....I didn't give it a thought.

My girlfriend happened to be home this morning and calls me at work to tell me .....well.....take a look:

I have a couple of Before pix on my work computer but I'm posting from home. I'll post them tomorrow. The car was EXACTLY where you see it and there wasn't a scratch on it. I'm not even sure how that is possible? Those poles for the now-dried up grape vines stick up about 7 ft! How did it clear those poles and not touch my car? Must have gone STRAIGHT up before blowing over. I think I'd better go buy some Lotto tickets

What can I say, I AM a lefty you know?! I suppose this good fortune means God DOES love Lefty's too......well, sometimes.

Usually my luck is such that if they cut a woman in half? I'd get the half you have to feed!

Now that's funny. Sorry about your tent/cover thingy. I got a little damgae, mostly overturned pots of small trees and some patio cover damage.

Wow.
A breeze blew over your kite-like, tent-thingey.
Next you'll be tellin' me that a patio chair blew into the pool.
The horror!
You Cali guyz...

Of course you're right. I expect the Governator to declare my backyard a disaster zone at any moment!

The only miracle is that my car didn't get screwed up. I expected some severe scratches along the right side of the car... I kept looking and looking and haven't found a thing...yet.

Well, my heavy glass cigar ashtray fell to the ground when the plastic lawn chair on my porch blew over last night... but don't worry... it's okay. I would have reported this earlier but I didn't want to upset anyone.

I would have been devastated if anything happened to it!

My car and cover are still firmly planted on the ground and on the car..... Although it is in a garage like environment. I think some leaves fell off the tress though

yeah, Storm Watch 2006, funny, you guys don't know what a storm is...typically defined when one must remove flip flops and shorts and put on a sweatshirt I'll just sit here and count the inches of snow we get by the hour...

Glad your car was not damaged!

We'd call that 'a light breeze' here in Texas.

The one thing I've realized here in Central Texas is... it gets FREAKIND WINDY. We need to put up some wind farms.
