Yeah, I love those guys, Jim. They have some really bad-ass Ducati cafe's as well.
I wish they supplied tanks and seats for the older Sporties like mine. That would certainly seal the deal on which way I would go when I start putting it back together. |

Hey Jeff...saw this tank at Benjies Cafe Racers. Specifically made for sportsters. On a '76 Ironhead. No frame mods required Seat was shortened from the one they sell
A bit pricey at $650 but he does make quality pats. Benjie's Cafe Racers http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1359668683.jpg http://www.benjiescaferacer.com/combo-fiberglass-sportster.php |

I think what would be really cool would be a bare aluminum tank. Dreaming, I know... |

This has been going on in my head. A 75o two stroke triple from the early 70's in a modern chassis.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1359921758.jpg

This is similar to what I would like to be riding eventually. Of course, I need to make sure I'm competent to keep it from getting scraped up first!

We have an event every 3rd Wednesday in Seattle called Backfire Moto. It's a collection of vintage bikes, cafe racers, mopeds, scooters, you name it. Some great bikes, people watching and beer. A few select photos. If you look up Backfire Moto on FB you can see a ton more.....

 ^^^ Nice group of bikes!
Can't say I'm a fan, but here's a NEW cafe racer just announced: BMW R nineT – 90 Years in the Making |

Took "Best Japanese" award at this years' Steel City Mods vs Rockers a couple months ago. Second time in 4 years for the '76 and was totally unexpected. I was pleasantly surprised when I got back to the bike and saw this.

Nice. I am warming up to the idea of a thruxton. Put on some sticky buns and take it to the track.
