As a "gut" reaction, after seeing the clip, I instantly thought, rightly or wrongly: "Here is a family out to sue a large corporation for a quick gain". Probably just a reaction to what seems to happen on a regular basis nowadays, with our sue-happy society.

Tigger was obviously trying to kill him.

Sorta' thought that too, but again, I wasn't there. For all we knew "Tigger" either just patted the kid on the head all friendly like or flat-out sucker punched him. Since we weren't there, how can we know?
Let the lawyers fight it out at this point - they're the ones that are going to end up sitting back and raking in the bucks from it at the end of the day anyway. . .

If they are talking about the "punch" tigger delivered in that video, I think they are reaching. Looks like it might have been an accident... hard to see out of those outfits; almost no peripheral vision at all.

I can't imagine having to go to the hospital from a "hit" like that one.

I was a disneyworld a couple of years ago... I was playing around with the guy in the Bluto outfit (yeah, from Popeye).
so he puts me in a headlock and my wife snaps a photo. I thought it was the funniest thing... never thought of suing them.. I was 30 at the time. |

Here's the story that is coming out now. The kid that was hit was pulling Tiggers' tail. When that didn't get a rise, he grabbed Tiggers' a$$. The person in the costume (could be a female), reacted. Of course the source of the video (the plaintiff) doesn't show that part.........

I too thought it looked like Tiger lost his balance. Give me a break though, the kid was barely even touched.

Watch it again. Tigger drops his right foot back for better balance, puts an arm-lock on the kid, then knocks his glasses off. IMO, the kid was taunting him in some manner, and Tigger got tired of it, opened up a can of cartoon whoop-ass.

The kid is damned lucky it wasn't Elmer Fudd he was taunting, lest he'd have taken a shotgun blast to the face.
