To Catch a Predator

I just recently discovered this show and went immediately to you tube to watch all the stings and I got hooked but theres only like three freakin videos on youtube, so i went to google vids and yahoo and couldnt find much more

can anyone find more footage of these shows im freakin hooked on them. Its the funniest thing ive seen on TV in such a long time

vash 01-08-2007 01:50 PM

funny? only thing remotely funny are the lameass excuses the pervs come up with. everything else, makes me sick.

Rick V 01-08-2007 01:59 PM

As a father of a rape victim (14 years old at the time) I have a hard time with the "funny" discription. They should put all these weirdos in a locked room with a rabid wolverine. You are correct, it is a good show and hey are doing a good job with it.

BlueSkyJaunte 01-08-2007 02:12 PM

It's mindboggling how many lunatic perverts there are out there...and they keep climbing out of the woodwork in the hopes of getting some action from some 13-year-old they met online.

As my wife put it, "what makes these scumbags think a 13-year-old girl would find them even remotely attractive??"

I just don't get it...on top of it all, why does it take a freaking TV show to get these guys? What the hell is law enforcement doing? Oh, that's right...handing out speeding tickets and throwing more pot smokers in the clink.

It's pathetic. Truly pathetic.

alright alright lets say funny was not the right word

but who doesnt get a kick out of seeing those dudes faces or the excuses they come up with. its pretty entertaining and the shows a good cause as well.

+1. Lock the door with them inside and walk away. Its better than the treatment that they gave to the kids they molested.

Absolutely. How about "satisfying"?

Vouyerism?

I dunno...seems as if so many "reality" shows just make things worse.

As satisfying as it is to watch, I think they could catch a lot more pervs if it wasn't on TV.

There are some really creepy dudes on those vids. Worse yet are the dudes that seem very normal. That really freaks me out.

Actually, the Fed's are pretty damn active on this. The problem is there are so damn many predators that the Fed's have to prioritize. --Just look how easy Dateline has . .season after season. . . ."have you seen this show? --uhh yeah." (stoooooPid)
The internet has really changed the 'access' game. The parents may want to take responsibility here.

What I find odd are the cops outside, at the end, with the guns drawn. Geeze, ya'd think the guy stole a PS3, or something. --seriously, have any of the perp's been armed, or even the slightest bit violent?

BlueSkyJaunte 01-08-2007 07:28 PM

Tell me you don't want to open a can of whupass on each and every one of those monsters...now you know why the cops have their guns drawn etc. I can't imagine any normal human who wouldn't enjoy pointing a gun at any of those f*ckheads.

island911 01-08-2007 07:43 PM

whupass ? . . .well yeah. But that should come from the other prisoners. If they, (the perp's) and their ilk, don't ultimately end up there,(prison) then having officer Fife acting mean and threatening their lives is just a joke.

Agree and its kinda "Barny Fife" the way they tackle the perp after he comes out of the house.

Personally I would rather see the perp put in a closed room with Mom's and Dad's for 5 minutes, THEN given to police custody. No weapons or hand cuffs would be needed then... possibly an ambulance or hearse.

How about the one scumbag on there that told the reporter he had a feeling that it might be a setup, but he figured he would take the chance and try anyway.

Jim Bremner 01-08-2007 08:32 PM

I'm a divorced dad, I have the kids 80% of the time.

My kids stepdad was one of the perv's arrested.

I could go on for chapters.
