Nad you make that seem like a bad thing. Anger (or anxiety) is energy. Energy focused towards a positive end can be a very good thing provided it is controlled, contained, managed.

I have not gotten a complete grip on where this 'energy' comes from nor do I want to. As strange as it may sound, I am looking to use it to do things and not to ruin myself or my family.

I suppose I could get all left-coast and try to figuer it out but really who cares? I have established a great relationship with the folks who mean the most to me. I have more productive now then ever and have assembled a clear focus as to what I want and how I am going to go about achieving it. If what it took to get there was a few good talks with my wife, twin and ol Man and a magic lil pill that provides 10mg of sarotonin management - so be it!

Some guys have their cigars, others their Scotch and some their weed. Some guys need to blow their load, beat their kids and steal while others need the comfort of the Christ or a psalm. We all have our tricks.

Tabs. I luv ya man, but your still willing to da stoogies, the hootch and pul'n johny now and then to achieve nervana. My little daddy healpers have brought it into alignment. Someday I won't re-new the script but for now.... I have a pretty good swell I'm plank'd on and daddy ain't part;n wit the pharms or talks anytime soon.....

Mike - have you ever had a really good day? Where, nothing bothered you. Imagine - spending the morning shopping with your wife in a mall - and you hate malls - and then spending the rest of the day with your wife's extended family. Waking up restful and mellow and ending the day happy and reflective. Even idiots in traffic didn't piss you off.

Now say you had such a day - and realllly enjoyed it. And your friends and family even commented "Wow, you seem really laid back today". However - you have no idea what you did to bring on such a normal day but wish you could feel that way all the time (without meds).

Yeah - what would Mike and the rest of y'all think 'bout that?

M.D. Holloway 01-09-2007 08:10 PM

Ya, been there without. Plenty of times. The interesting thing is now, I'm there ALL the time. Is that so bad?

Well lets go back to page one.. Of Lubby who U tryin to fool...I think I nailed it.

dtw 01-10-2007 04:32 AM

Well Mike, hypothetically - doesn't it drive you crazy you were able to 'get there' for one perfect day - but you don't know how or why?

Don't get wrong I'm glad that you are happy, however I feel that a person of your intellect will eventually "want to figure it out" at some point, maybe not now, maybe not this year, or next year for that matter.
YMMV

But then again being born and raised in S. Cali I suppose I am pretty left coast...
Like yanno....

Perhaps the "IT" that everyone wants Mike to figure out is actually a lack of the proper chemical balence in his brain. His healpers are working for him and he seems content with the progress that he is making. This seems to be the ultimate in good outcomes.
If his lipids were elevated and he takes Lipitor to control them, we would not need to know the cause only that the meds are working correctly.
Carry on Mike and kudos for bringing a difficult subject into the light.

I will consult the crystals this evening but until then I am sending positive vibrations your way.

tabs 01-10-2007 11:17 AM

Somehow with all those positive VIBRATIONS I feel like headin on down to the Beach, except Mother took the keys of the T-Bird away, but I'll take out the little deuce coupe with the 409 and race the little old lady from Pasadena down to the beach...boy oh boy that sounds like a good vibration to me.

scottmandue 01-10-2007 11:37 AM

I said positive vibrations not good vibrations!

I wanna go home...
I wanna go home...
I feel so broke up... I wanna go home...

I always like their, "A Riots Goin On." or Zappas "More Trouble Everyday." The Buffalo Springfields, "For What its Worth." and the Doors "Five to One"

Of course Morrison lambasted Flower Power with the line..."walk across the floor with a flower in your hand and tell me no one understands." or the work ethic..."Trade in your hours for a hand full of dimes." Yeah Baby we want it in our Prime...Whew don't mince any words now...

An ends to a means. As for talking about depression - many consider it a weakness to admit such a problem. When our Boy broke his arm last year he wouldn't wear short sleeves or have anyone sign his cast. He told me, with tears in his eyes that "Spiderman never broke his arm!" He viewed that cast as a physical statement of weakness. Silly, but to a 7yr old it is not.

Mental problems, kidney problems, back problems, a broken bone - is there a difference? Not to me. Things come up, mans gotta handl'm.

One day at a time - first things first.

The little deuce coupe was a flathead...but she'd walk a Thunderbird like it was standing still...

tabs 01-10-2007 10:43 PM

I know the lil Deuce Coupe was a flathead, but I had to work a 409 into the story somehow...

NObody is a fking iron man, and those that do pretend to be, usually have those anxiety attacks to remind em that they ain't. Everybody has a "mental" problem at one time or another in their life, and its no crime to ask for a bit of help. Nobody thinks it a crime to call the Auto Club when they have a flat tire.

Lubby the days that we met and went to dinner, I was feeling pretty distracted and wasn't that sharp. What was preoccuping me was that I put a call into my friend and he hadn't returned it. I can't quiet remember the month that we met? But it was in December that my friends 25 year old son passed away from a Grand Mal seizure.

Lubby I don't want to overstep my bounds with you or offend you, if I have than you have my apology. My feeling with you is that Thearpy for U wouldn't primarilybe for fixing it, but more for enrichment. Think of it more as putting Rapid Grow on your lawn.
