Eagles-saints
Well, it sucked seeing the Eagles go down on a "false start" penalty after Garcia had completed that 4th down pass for 20 some yards to Hank Baskett, but it was still a great game by both teams.
I dont think ANY of the NFC teams has a prayer vs the top AFC teams this year, so i guess this loss just saved the Eagles the humiliation of getting crushed in the Superbowl. ![]() Good luck to the Saints. |

Let the playoffs continue. This was an enjoyable game.

It really stung to have our season end on that false start penalty by a backup who hasn't played even 2 quarters all season.
Of course Brian westbrook dropping 4 passes in the same game was a real shocker too(he never drops passes like that). |

Agreed. But man, the way Garcia worked this year? McNabb better get VERY healthy, then in shape. His job as starting Eagles QB isn't guaranteed. Good season for the Eagles...and heck, in the end, all teams go home as losers...except one.

McNabb took this team to four consecutive NFC title games and a Superbowl...i think his job is probably safe.
![]() I hope Garcia stays though, because McNabb has been injury prone the last couple of years, and Garcia has proven he's the real deal IMO. |

Saying what about Tommy Maddox? That he was the real deal?
I still remember the day Maddox was drafted and Thiesman interviewed him, then told him to go tune up his game in NFL Europe. LOL, his agent got all pissy on live TV, "Tommy doesnt need to go to NFL europe!" LOL...uh huh. ![]() |

That punt was ridiculous, They should have went for it with that little time left and their lack of stopping the run. Would have made a hero out of the guy who made the first down there. They had a 20+ yard reception on that late false start call on the previous play.
We in Philly are frustrated to say the least......

I agree. They should not have punted there, and should've gone for it.
I hate to whine about the refs, but the NFL did the Eagles no favors with the scheduling, and the Saints got away with about 25 holding penalties, many of which were pretty blatant....but we all knew the Saints were the NFL darlings this year because of Katrina. None of the NFC teams are good enough to win the SB anyway, so it doesn't really matter much in the end. |

Wow. Did anyone watch the Indy-Baltimore game? I know Peyton Manning has spent his entire career choking in big games, but I don't see how even he could lead this team to a loss against anyone this year.

With less than 2 minutes to go, you have to take a shot when you "HAVE" the ball and not hope for when you "MAY" get the ball back.
I agree the AFC should win the super bowl handily this year. I don't see anyone beating San Diego this year outside of America's darling New Orleans.

A 15-6 win with an off and on again defense isn't dominating, and probably won't get it done in the AFC Championship.
Plus, I don't particularly like Manning - Peyton, Eli or Archie.

I am not a Manning fan either, but you have to give Indy credit for their run defense finally showing up tonight.

I don't like him either, but Im not talking about him. A Colts team that has enough defense to win a game with Manning throwing more interceptions than touchdowns and is a scary thing.

A kickers salary should make little movement in a salary cap, as the big picture is concerned. Getting a quality kicker for what they cost, seems like money in the bag. As an Eagles fan, Akers is underpaid, I am sure NE fans feel they saim way about Vinitieri. He is one of the best clutch kickers in the game. He tied his record of five field goals in a playoff game tonight.

Scary, to me, is New Orleans. When they meet the Bears ('cause the Hawks will lose), I think the Bears will be handled. Rex Grosman sux...
