Are there any African Americans on Pelican OT?
I was just reading the "Isn't OT Nicer Now" thread and I was laughing at (I forget who wrote it) the Chevy-Chase-in-National Lampoon's-Christmas-Vacation-Cuss-Rant"-esqe riff concluding in whitebread males and it got me wondering what the racial and ethnic makeup of the OT board is? Why is it that I (perhaps entirely wrongly) DO think the board is made up of predominantly white guys. Just curious? This probably should be a poll thread.
By the way, I am (not so) secretly waiting to see if this brings out a string of white self consciousness responses as in, "my grandmother was a Cherokee princess" or "some of my best friends are"  I just love those. This is intended to be an informational and humorous topic.

I have been working in south central L.A. for almost ten years... but my Hispanic friends still call me "light bulb head" so I'm not sure I'm making much progress.

On a lighter note,
My cousin the university teacher from Maine came out here to visit and joined us for services Sunday morning at the Baptist church we are members of. At lunch she commented "I didn't know black and white Baptists worshiped together".

I had never even talked to a black person until I moved to Alabama (when I was 22 years old). There weren't any where I grew up.
