Not Porsche but,

I saw this today with 75-80 other Porsche owners.
$8 mill, 5 miles to the gallon but who would care?
Over 200 mph and looking good

I don't know about the 'looking good' part. The shape reminds me of something you'd use to vaccuum the bottom of a swimming pool.

It tries too hard.   I guess it has to be swoopy to do 200 mph, but this car looks like a big black supository with wheels.

Oh well, I really liked it, if they offered one I would think about it, right now I am only $9 mill short.

When are cars going to be different? As in not just a line here and a line there but something weird. Ariel Atom different? This is just a parts bin special no matter how nice it may be or even how unique. Slap a price tag like that on any prototype and car and you will have press. I wish thinking outside the box would occur. The toyota Prius, a very cheap car, is really the most advanced car out there. Not by measure of butt heaters and traction devices but by different technology.

But I will never drive, want to drive, be caught in, a Prius.

I like the way it looks and of course, who could criticize it's performance (other than 5mpg)? For such a heavy car, I think it's GREAT.

About the Prius - if that's what it takes to be different, I guess I'll just have to be another one of the Jones'. I won't say I NEVER will, but I hope and pray I'll never want or need to drive a Prius. UGH!

It is not that this car is a parts bin special, there is plenty of craftsmanship here that would make the car expensive to produce.

The problem is that the car is uninspiring.   I mean looking at the side view I am just about as inspired as I am looking at a Volkswagen Passat in the local WalMart parking lot.   The ass end looks like a Chysler Crossfire ate a Cadillac DTS.

If Batman was an accountant, this would be his car.

Do you drive a Porsche?

Does "different" mean better?
There are lots of "different" cars, nobody wants them.

I have owned "rare", "different" cars, it doesn't mean anyone likes them.

I don't look at my Porsche as a lot "different" than the years before it but I like it.

I think this Coup is definitely "different"

Ok, I like it yes, but at 8Mill, I rather buy a Jet and go beyond 200MPH under 3 seconds.

I've seen it and thought it was hideous. Sorry. I see no beauty in that monstrous beast. Yuck.

There is a story behind it...

Read here

It was built for a tire company to test a tire at 350 KPH.

I actually think it looks pretty good from the side... but $8 million? Are you serious? How can anyone charge that much for a car? How is it possibly 6 times more expensive than a Bugatti Veyron?
