I saw this and wanted to see what you guys thought. A lot of flood damaged cars. However the Countach looks like its in good shape. Looks like some nice track possibilities.

I wonder what a bonfide offer would be on this kind of car? Owner spent 200k on a restoration to street trim.

I supect the whole thing is a scam
they want you to join for a fee

if they want to sell cars
why demand a up front fee
I think they are selling memberships NOT CARS

I've bought several cars from insurance auctions. No need to register with anybody on-line.

I'll pass.

They are probably buying them at auction then marking them up substantially. No thanks.

Some of those cars have been on that site for years. It is a scam of some sort.

I didn't read any further into it. I'll stay away from them then. Thanks for the heads up. I may have to look at insurance auctions and other auctions to see whats available when I start looking for another ride.

Pretty much a scam. All they give you for the $20 is a list of insurance sale lots.

The "Ready to Fix" website and their parent company are scams. They have been discussed on PPOT before, and you can also Google them and find much of the information.

iirc, you send them $20 and they send you a list of insurance auctions. That's it.

NONE of the cars on their website are owned by them, managed by them, consigned to them, or for sale by them. NONE.

Like I thought - it's one of the oldest scams in the book. A variant on "you too can buy foreclosure properties!" B.S.

I don't need any more project cars anyway. I'm seeing my current ones through to fruition and then I'm getting out of wrenching on fixer-uppers. I've had all the excitement I can handle of that sort.

I've heard it, and said it before. I used to restore and hot-rod old MoPars. I got really burnt-out on it and after selling my last 'cuda I swore "never again". Now here I am 10 years later with an old 911 to maintain, a Duster undergoing an engine build, and a Fiat that will receive various mods.

It's like crack, but for guys with tools.
