doing the happy dance...new part time job

As a VERY few of you know, I got laid off in october. I decided to do my own thing and freelance engineer, work on my design/build shop, and just hang out (I thank God everyday for my wonderful wife). Shortly after christmas I got a call from an old teammate who offered me a part time position with Dyson Racing for the 2007 season.

I'll be a race week fly-in for their new Porsche RS spyders, and should be at every round of the 2007 ALMS season.

Feel free to hate me, it's really okay.

...hoping he doesn't wake up....

certainly. I'll probably be keeping a journal of the whole experience. I'm looking forward to working with some of my old Cadillac teammates from 2000.

I'm so excited...I hope to find some time to take a couple. I have very few from my previous experiences...except LeMans...I have TONS from LeMans.

Sweet. Enjoy.

I had a buddy that worked on the Cadillac prototype team when they were shooting for Le Mans building c/f body parts.

It's a hell of an opportunity.

I'm not quite sure what my role will be yet. Being a degreed mechanical engineer, rumors of being a data/telemetry guy exist.

Mas, was your buddy out of indy or in the Atlanta cadillac? I may know him if he was out of indy.

Great opportunity. Congrats.

I'm not certain which city he was out of. I know he's spent some time in Indy, but don't know if that was his base. His name was Dennis, little skinny fella. Family lives in Virginia and he went to Embry Riddle in FL.

Wow. AWESOME job. A dream job, really. If any openings come up, keep this guy in mind.

Keep an eye open for me when you are at this year's Lime Rock event.

Dennis VanLanduyt (sp?) I know him...lost touch unfortunately. I got along with everyone, him a little better than others. Had that corvette fixation, and the pornstar hair and moustache in indy...LOL!!!

If any of you come to the races...just ask for stevie d.

Ready to hate me? See the guy with the laptop on the left sidepod? That's me.
