That really sucks. My thoughts/prayers are with you and your family. Hopefully someday soon justice comes to those that did the crime.

Saw it on the news this morning. I'm very sorry for your loss. I think it's time for the wife and me to get a CCL.

I am truely sorry.

Our neighborhood had it's first burglary last week and one of the residents was almost car jacked the week before.

I'm about 5 miles due north from where this happened. I do not leave the house without a firearm. And with everything that has gone on recently, my wife stopped giving crap about it. She is finally interested in a CHL class.

And Houston isn't the worst City for crime, not by a long shot. But this didn't happen in a bad area. That is the scary part.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. This is something I won't ever understand.

Carry if you can. There is no reason not to. It appears to me that having a CHL is necessity in this day and age.

It's very upsetting to know what some selfish bastard(s) will for a truck.

Justice will come whether they get caught or not.

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I hope it is a small amount of solace that when they find them, they will string them up in short order.

Really sorry to hear this.

We had a spate of car-jacking were I used to live. The MO was always the same: the perps would rear-end an expensive looking car at a stop-sign. When the owner got out to look at the damage etc. they would grab him and stick him in the trunk and take off with the car - usually by way of the car-owners house which they burgled.

For a while the police pleaded with people NOT to get out of their cars when rear-ended at a stop sign.

Worth bearing in mind.

Interesting, this is exactly what happened in the 'near' car jacking of one of our residents, last week.
