I must admit to setting up a kicker ramp into our pond for an annual college buddy party I host at our house every fourth of July. Thus far only a lost contact lense, a couple of bloody shins and a popped eardrum at this party, but my wife's 60 yr old boss broke five ribs when he body slammed the ramp a couple years ago at a work party my wife hosted :eek:

I guess everyone has a different opinion on risk taking in life. Many folks never thought I would make it to 20 let alone 40. :D

I hit a tree snowboarding Monday. Before I hit it I thought I was going to die but I didn't. Stuff happens when your having fun.

thats a tragic thing but people recover.

years ago my brother in law who was a roofer went up on the roof of a home he had finished but because he wasn,t happy with the look of one tile around the chimney he went up to replace it .
it started to rain,he slipped and his head landed right on the cutting saw, fell off the roof, my sister 6 months pregnant with their first child had to give the order to pull the plug.
she was a ICU nurse so she knew.

today she has remarried and her and new husband have a little girl + her son.
first husband is gone but never forgotten and everyone is doing well now.

hopefully in time your fellas wife will be ok too.
