Windows XP experts - I suddenly can't view media...

Hi all - any idea why I can't view You Tube or even new car sites with video?

Each time I attempt to view video, an Apple Quicktime Logo comes up, then fades out with a ? mark appearing over it.

This is frustrating.

Thanks.

Quicktime has decided it wants to be your default media player. To change it back to Windows Media Player, or whatever Media Player you like, do this:

1) Open windows explorer (right click My Computer, select explore)

2) From the Tools menu at the top, select Folder Options.

3) Select the File Types tab, and wait for the information to fill in.

4) Find all the video formats and select the change button for each one, and select your favorite media player from the list that pops up.

Alternatively, you could just go into Add and Remove programs in control panel and uninstall Quicktime.

EDIT: video formats would be mpeg, mpg, mp4,avi, wmv......
