The Koreans assimilate quickly and to a higher level than most others. Not only do their children get named as many other long timers do with Englished but they start Christian churches and flow very efficiently into the economy.

Todd, I would prefer that the kids of US citizens learn english. You know, the kids of the people who are paying for the school system?

If 1/4 of all the kids in the california school system are "english learners" (which means they either don't speak it or are not fluent) that means the teachers have to dummy down the classes to the lowest denominator. Good idea. Lets take twice as long to cover this subject, in other words lets teach half as much to kids who can barely function after graduation.

California should sue the federal government for every single penny spent on educating kids who are either illegal or born to illegals. The federal government is the one who is supposed to keep the illegals out, they should pay for them when they get in. INSTEAD OF ME! Same goes for health care. I'm tired of paying the cost of health care of the entire hemisphere. How about auto insurance? Half of the cost goes to cover accidents involving illegal immigrants. hoe much of my paycheck am i supposed to piss away so that people can live comfortably while they can break the law? How about we let all the bleeding heat liberals and the 2nd and 3rd generations of illegal immigrants cover all the costs so that I don't have to. that'd be nice.

Just one more example of why my kids are in private school and why I pay about $1200 a month for something that should be almost free like it used to be.

And "live comfortably"? Have you seen the typical living conditions?

"Like it used to be..." Yes, we want everything like it used to be. Dominated by rich white males. Women barefoot and pregnant. Blacks not voting. We want it like it used to be...

Cue blaming the overpaid-underworked teachers....
