Hey Todd. Wacky Moslem thread possible without the Crazy chick posting?

Todd,

Is there anyway that we can have a thread about the wacko Moslems and limit it so that the crazy chick cannot post? Problem is that the minute you mention that moslems are not the "salt of the earth, and normal as the day is long" and she goes off cussing like a sailor (fock this, screw that, and a$$wipe (now she is talking about anal? whats next!?) ) then the thread gets locked. This has happened several times now.

There was nothing wrong with the discussion we were having in the last thread we had until she got involved and as usual gets fired up and going after everyone. Now she is telling us that we cannot mention Chicago in any post or she is going to go after us. Excuse me? Just where in the hell does she get off, especially as she is not really part of the community in the first place!

Considering that she does not own a Porsche of any model, has never owned a Porsche and only reason for being here is that she used to sleep with someone who owned a Porsche, do we really have to tailor all our "muslim discussions" by worrying about what this "hanger on" is going to say? This is a Porsche forum after all...

Joe

Hey..It's human nature to have a "hot button"; a subject where the individual loses all ability to see anything but their own POV. She ain't the only one posting here with that tendency.

As to not owning a Porsche, we had another "famous" poster here who frequently posted quite "pointed" comments; some political and some telling us how much better his car was than any of ours.

Takes all kinds.

Joe, I'm sensitive to the argument and that's why I've closed the last two threads that have gone that way. But you guys also goad/respond/chime in as well, so it isn't like this is 100% black and white.

I'm trying to actually get away from OT. Very little time this weekend, slipped a bit today and made a few posts, but I'm logging off after I type this one.

Frankly, I find the bile slung towards Muslims to be a bit embarassing and repulsive, but try not to wade in very deep. It's all gotten to be a bit much frankly, so I'll just peek in from time to time or when somebody reports a post to a moderator. Just too much psychic energy being drained by this place.

I love you guys like family, but that is part of the problem. I got other fish to fry in the analog world.

One last thought: remember that terrorism comes in both overt and subtle forms. We should be vigilent against both, from external and internal forces.

Damm, I try to have a thread without the crazy lady, then she posts and now delete's her post two minutes later!

Glad she is on ignore but wonder which part of the body she targeted this time? Must have been bad to delete it that fast!

Todd, know what you mean but it gets tiring trying to reason with someone like this at times and to have threads closed for someone who has no reason to be here (no Porsche after all) just makes lots of us wonder...

For the record, I didn't have a single post on that thread.

. . but in reading that thread, I thought ' I wonder who has posted most on locked threads (as a percentage). . .not that there might be a correlation there, or anything.

also, I was wondering, was that thread closed, re-opened, and closed again? --it seems that a few over the top rants got deleted.

It's OT, she doesn't need a Porsche to belong.

And honestly, your "position" disgusts me more than anything she has ever said.

Nostatic, can we have an archive forum of all the juicy closed threads, but not be able to post to them? That would satisfy a lot of stuff without feeding the trolls.

At least you own a Porsche. My "position" is as a long time Porsche owner. 99.99% of the people here own Porsche's. This person is the only one that I can remember who is here on a very regular basis who has no relationship what so ever with a Porsche other than having a boyfriend who owned one. Remember my friend, this is a PORSCHE FORUM, not craigslist.

How do you feel it would go over if one or more of us went to a Ferarri, Maserati or other expensive sports car forum. Became a member and posted only in the off topic section, then becoming a bit radical (in many people's viewpoint) and ranting and raving to the point where several threads are closed because of them.

Do you feel that the long time members of these forums would embrace a person like this with open arms? I belong to a Jaguar forum and we have had a couple of "hangers on" type of people join who did not own that model car. After a few months and some snide comments the moderators emailed the person involved that unless they purchased a car that fit in the forum, or were actively looking for a car like that, that to be in the forum only to cause trouble or be difficult was not needed and that they were on probation.

I really did not have a problem with her being here until she started posting crap that got several threads closed. There were others on those threads that were not finished with their discussion but because of the crazy chick that ended. I am all for discussion but when a non-Porsche owner (or even enthusiast) is causing things on the bulletin board to be closed, then its time someone asks what in the world is going on here.

who cares if she doesn't own a Porsche!

that's not a requirement to join this BBS, or any other for that matter.

welcome to the internet, buddy.

I don't care what she does or doesn't own. I do however think she is one of the most unreasonable/irrational people to ever draw breath, so I enjoy pushing the .....oh so easily pushed buttons.
