Sounds lovely. Lobster with the tenderloin.

Though, if you want something easy, may I suggest Fondue?

You get almost everything ready beforehand, it's mostly chopping up fruit, vegetables and steak/lobster. Vat of oil, some dipping sauces. Appetizer is a nice cheese fondue (can be done beforehand and just warmed up, get grapes ready beforehand, cut the bread and apple when she comes), nice chocolate fondue (same, get strawberries, pineapples, etc., ready beforehand, just cut bananas when the time comes). In other words, it's the best entertaining dinner, because 95% of the time is spent with the guest since almost everything is done beforehand. And it's pretty easy. Impressive too.....

Ahh, just caught the diabetic.....

just limit the amount of bread (for the cheese), maybe don't use a bbq dipping sauce, the fruit's ok in moderation, need to think what to dip it in......

For desert you can use sugar free jello, some strawberries, and a pie crust to make "pie". Darn tasty, can be made very low sugar or with diabetasweet.

I can't help with the diabetic part but I'd suggest a tomato basil soup, if tomato soup is what you are after.

Next course, if seafood is your goal, some sauteed bay scallops would be nice.

For the tenderloin, get some beef/veal demi-glace and make a simple sauce. Or, make a blue cheese/roquefort compound butter to top the steaks. If you want to stick with seafood for an entree, a poached fish (sea bass, halibut, etc.) with a crab sauce would be good, and easy.

For dessert, fresh strawberries with fresh whipped cream, if that is OK for a diabetic. If not, maybe a cheese course.

Finish with some chocolate. A small quantity of dark chocolate, something without lot's of sugar.

looking favorite, so far.

1> Tomatoe Soup,
Theres a company here called "covent garden" they do some really good homemade type soupes, its a Tomatoe/Basil type thing.

2> Seafood Starter/entree (?)
Thinking somthing with Crabmeat, maybe just in there shells, dress with lemon juice

3> Lobster/Tenderloin sounds good.

4> Strawberries dipped in Milk and Plain Chooclate.

Sure fire gonna get laid menu

Main course...simple but a bit out of the ordinary

Grilled Lamb Chops with Kahlua/white Wine/Creole Mustard sauce

Prepare sauce first:

Sauce:
1 cup of dry white wine and one cup of demi glace (can substitute 1 cup of beef boullion)...in a sauce pan reduce by 1/2

Add one cup of Kahlua...reduce by 1/2

Then add 2 tablespoons of Zattaran's creole mustard....stir until well blended...simmer until chops are ready

Chops:

Season 6-8 Lamb Chops with salt and pepper, grill until medium rare (You can sear them in oven safe skillet and place under the broiler if you don't want to fire up the grill)

Cover with the sauce when serving

Sides: Grilled fresh asparagus spears...toss in olive oil and season salt and throw on grill...drizzle lemon juice over them when on plate

Rosemary roasted new potatoes: Cube new potatos, toss in olive oil, season salt and dried ground rosemary (lots). Place in casserole and bake at 375 for 40-45 mins, turning once. Finish about 3-5 minutes on broil.

Dessert:

Kahlua Pecan Bananas Foster

Melt 1 stick of butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar in skillet, add 1/2 cup chopped pecans and 1/2 cup Kahlua. 1 tsp cinamon. Cook for 5 minutes careful not to burn. Add bananas, cut in 1/2 and sliced length wise. Add 1/2 cup 151 rum, being to "boil" and ignite. Let alcohol burn down. Remove from heat and ladle over scoops of vanilla ice cream.
