Update, I spoke with my CPA this morning and after discussing this with him, I would have to sell the truck to myself.

I spoke with the irritated code enforcement officer just now and his only problem is the lettering, he had no issue with the commercial plate.

So I do not need to retitle it in my name.

But, in the end I decided to just sell it. If I need a another truck in the future I will buy another. I really do not see the building / construction market in Florida picking back up for another 5-10 years. The damage done by investors here is pretty bad and it will take a long time to fix it.

Plus out community leaders think building more subdivisions and raising property taxes is the answer to the slow down here. Couple that with soaring insurance? Yeah, eacy 5 years of a downturned economy.

Anyone want a really clean 2006 Toyota Tacoma (purchased in Nov 2005) with 25K miles?

It has a bed topper and a bed drawer that is pretty pimp. Seats have been covered since day one with high quality covers and weathertech mats have been in it since day one as well. After 7K miles only synthetic oil has been used and changed at 7K intervals. It is washed once a weel and waxed once a month. It looks brand new.

Dealer trade was at 12K Private Party 13.4K and Retail 14.7K.

Anyone need a truck? Make me an offer, next week I am parking it on the road. I have had awesome luck there, selling my company Honda Element in 1 hour and another Toyota pickup in 1 day.

I just read thru this thread. I truly cannot even imagine the idea of living in a housing development. I feel for you guys who do. I will take my hour drive to work in the city any day over someone being able to tell me I can't shoot, ride dirtbikes, fly airplanes, ride ATVS, ride snowmobiles etc etc on MY OWN d@mn property.

Man, stories like this just make my blood boil. You just have to find a way to get even with who ever reported you.

According to the CE officer no one called anyone in.

The HOA simply asked that CE come to the neighborhood and hammer down on the violators. It was not selective enforcement.

My dumb luck would have it that I parked a company truck in my drive. It was only there 5 days when they drove through.

This is just another reason for me to move to North Carolina full time. While my property there is small (1 Acre) its much more relaxed. I mean my neighbor has a bobcat and dumptruck in his yard and I do not care.

Tim, the nice thing about where I live is I can get on my bicycle and ride to the supermarket, hardware store or my office in 15 minutes or less. If I want to ride to the beach on my bike, 20 minutes taking my time. I never leave my little corner in the world and stress out when my wife wants to wanter over to the mall or to the "stores" I like laying low and not getting out into the grind.

In the front of our subdivision is a Post office and grade school, even though our little guy will never go there, our older one did and it was cool that he could walk to school.

Another nice thing about my house particularly is the way it sits. My backyard is very private and I barely know I have neighbors.

The downside is BS like this. After 10 years I have never had a problem our new "regime" wants our neighborhood to be something it is not. They want it to behave upper class and its just not its a working class neighborhood.

Perhaps there may be a precident-by-usage, or whatever legal term is used for that.
If the neighborhood has always been that way then there might be some ammo for your side. Old photos/affidavits/etc..?

You can be sent a copy of the HOA bylaws, and any changes/updates in managment to review, and get the "no complaintant" in writing. Mabye a referal from the local BAR will give that a free/low-cost review to give you a better picture.
If the HOA bylaws are contrast to any city laws that would supersceed it....

Who represents the actual owners rights, and are they?
If a group of neighbors start asking where their money is going and why, the new(?) board might start with a different approach. Bring out the pitchforks and torches!

Yup, someone on another forum told me how he was reporting 250 violations a week to the HOA in retaliation to him being fined.

He said after 10 weeks and close to 2500 reports the HOA finally left him alone.

Life is too shot, I do not have time for this HOA Bull*****.

As far as I am concerned the HOA is a pack of loosers pissed off with life and wanting to drag everyone around them down with them.

I am not getting sucked in.

The truck is normally not here and in 2 weeks it will be gone and I will have about $15K in my bank account.

So I just shake my head at these loosers and their pathetic lifes and move on.

I really, honestly have so many better things to do than fight a war with loosers.
