Code Violation..LOL!!

I just got a letter in the mail for parking my company truck in my drive overnight. Its a white Toyota Tacoma with my company name on the side.

The funny part is my old Dodge truck had the company name on it and was parked in my drive for 4 years, never a problem.

So I just ordered 2 blank white magnetic signs to put on the truck when it is parked.

Pretty sad when I have to endure dead cars in driveways, dead lawns with 2 foot weeds gorwing in them, People using their lawn for a parking lot, and dogs crapping on my front lawn.

Obviously someone doesn't like me on my block.

Maybe I should put open pipes on the P-car next?

Do I have a right to know who called in my violation? I mean with all these freedom of disclosure acts and all I would guess I might want to make sure a terrorist is not stalking me.

I'm glad I live in a place where I can still put a car up on blocks any time I want.......

I can sympathise....
The road that goes past my house it often used by the local high school kids as a drag strip, even though it is a residential area. I have had 2 mirrors destroyed, and a car rear ended while they were parked on the road while moving cars out of the garage and driveway. About 2 months ago, I pulled one of the cars into the front yard for about 20 minutes while I moved the other cars around. My lovely neighbor called the police, and had them ticket me for "unsightly use" of my front yard... While the cop was writing my ticket, 2 cars flew down the street and "exploded" the mirror off of his police cruiser that was parked on the street. Needless to say, it didn't take too long to explain to him why the car was in the front yard instead of in the street!

Ahh, I love my neighbors.....

Jim, I think you should become the "redneck neighbor from he!!" just to pi$$ them off. As a bonus, you'll be 'in training' for your move to NC

This is the really funny part of this. My neighborhood is really blue collar. Its refered to as the Golden Ghetto by my friends. Really middle class and almost all working class.

I can count over 20 work trucks parked in driveways every night here. So I am a little confused by this selective enforcement.

I have a call into code to let them explain this to me. 2 doors down is another truck with the guys company neame on it.

Years ago one of my mother's neighbors was parking his motorhome in his driveway. I guess that is illegal in her town. So some one complains, and he winds up having to rent storage for it. It turns out that "some one" who complained was some dickweed that rode past it on a bus on his way to and from work every day. He lived clear on the other side of town. None of the neighbors ever had a problem with it; it was a newer motor home, fully in the driveway, in front of a well-kept home. Some people just can't seem to resist the urge to get into others' business.

Am I disremembering, or didn't you have a 'run in' with the HOA 'queen' some time back?

She knocked my Mail box over but I never said a word.

After one of the hurricanes I was in her yard trying to start and fix her generator that broke down. I ended up hooking her up to mine and taxing it greatly and limiting my use of things in my house.

If it turns out to be her. I will never help her again, no matter the circumstances.

Careful with that, there's a State "Inoperative Vehicle Abatement Law" in CA, and each town in the Bay area participates based on neighbor complaints or upon "notice" by the cops, etc.

Go to the neighbours and ask them if they received a letter as well. If not then proceed to open a can of whupass for selective enforcement of the rules.

Not unusual.
The Fed is broke, so the states and cities are having to find creative means of funding.
