With or Without the Beard - You Vote!

I decided to try growing a beard after the new year. The kids thought it was great but momma didn't like it at all. Below is a pic with and without. I liked it. It was a litttle scratchy at first but was fun to mess with during meetings and most of the guys in in my seminars are rednecks or mechanics so they tend to look slighly more favorable on a gruffy dude than a clean shaven one.

Which do you like?

beard on you = college professor-ish, rugged, experienced
No beard + suit = just another pastey-faced corporate tool

;) I kid... but really.

How bout some Photoshop Help, Mustache and then a Goat.

Jury is still out. here

I'll say with. It gives you character.

Maybe one of the photoshop wizards can put a Van Dyke on you or a handlebar mustache!

Man I didn't know Bob Villa was a Porsche owner.

I kid, I kid.

Marginally better without.

I can't put my finger on it, with the beard either the "Gorton's Fisherman" or a young "Col. Sanders"

Here was a pic taken last year put alongside my fav actor. Now, I don't see it but I hear it at least once a month that I look like Mr. D.

Question is, which one do YOU like. You are old enough that impressing chicks is not part of the factor.

If you like the beard then wear it.

Actually, I like the beard but my Wife really didn;t like it at all. She thought it made me look real old - even older than I am. She never told me to shave it but I knew she really didn't care for it at all. Ultimately I could have kept it (or grow it back) and staill get some action outa her.

It is a lot like her wanting to have a nice hairdo, or pretty nails or a good figuer. She does it for herself to some extent and to keep up with the other mommies and she also tries to look good for me. Although I really don't care so much any more. She still wants to be attractive so it by shaving it, I am a little more physically interesting to her...is it such a small price to pay (in my fav yiddish accent)?

Leave the beard until you're done with this:

Beard & 'stache would work with a 10-gallon hat. . .

I like wearing a beard but about every four to six months I get the urge to shave it off. Keep it off a few months then re-grow. My wife says I am too mashugina.
Keep it--shave it. Try differnt things. You could get away with just a mustache; kinda Magnum PI looking.
I just look like a greaser with a stache only.

I read the thread topic and determined I would go with my first immediate reaction: (as opposed to my second immediate reaction)
