I saw Page and Plant on the "Unledded" tour back in 1998 at the Boston Garden. I had incredibly good seats - right on the floor in front of the stage - not too close and not too far away. I paid dearly for them and they were worth every penny. And I can report that the show - even in the old, crappy arena - was transcendent. I was stone cold sober and had been a Zep freak for many years. And friends, maybe they sucked in the 70's (I would not know), but nowadays they are amazing. Are they old and fat? Yeah, but who the f*ck cares? I didn't go there to f*ck them. I went there for a concert. And it was one of the best concerts of my life. Add in a dose of JPJ and I may just have a reason to keep living a little longer.

yeah that certainly doesnt suck ;)

shows how critical JPJ was to the sound of the band. And I swear that Bonham had a different definintion of "one" than any other drummer that's ever lived...

JPJ seems like he is the only one that hasn't just rested on his laurals since. He has continued to be far more creative than the "big names" of Zeppelin. Funny, too, when I think about most of my favorite Zeppelin tunes, they all have his name on them.
