"Scrufus Domesticus":D :D I love that...and I love the later body style Corvairs.

I always wondered what Chevy COULD have done with it if they'd kept developing them, improving power and handling? A 911 rival if they'd have opted to race and put the full force of GM behind the development? We'll never know but its fun to think of.

Even though I don't have the support or resources of Gm I am continuing the quest.
Currently in Development:
1. Front Disk brake conversion with 4 wheel disk conversion to follow
2. Big bore upgrade. Currently the stock displacement is 164cid (2.4 liter) Big bore kit will net 190cid (3.1liters)
3. Suspension improvements front and rear.

Hi Guys,
I am sorry for being brain dead, but this thread confuses me.

Is there a "weekly" Mulholland run? Every single week??

If so, I will start making plans.........

Dan in Pasadena 04-29-2007 09:47 AM

Yes so will you be there today? You can make it easily still. It's not even 11 am yet!

pieterk 04-29-2007 12:23 PM

Whelp, you're probably all gone already, but I won't be making it. Damnit. Maybe next week.

I hope it was fun!

We don't leave until about 2:30. I just got back into town and am leaving Encino in a few.

Dave

WEll, I'm back early. Craig and I got separate from the rest on the trip back and got snuck behind S L O W moving traffic.

Just for future readers that MAY be coming from the SG Valley West on the 134...there is NO offramp at Vineland heading west. I got all the way to the 405 before realizing I must have missed it and turned around only to find the ramp.

Everyone's car looked good today. Kevin & Carol in the 'vair, Marc, Craig, Dave, Chris...I'm missing someone I think? Oh yeah, me! Sorry if I missed anyone else. Let' see those pictures!

nameisbauer 04-29-2007 04:42 PM

Dan, your sahara beige is a great color!

Dan in Pasadena 04-29-2007 06:42 PM

Thanks Jim, very much. When I bought the car it was so badly faded and totally dead that I couldn't really tell what color it was. I was sorta hoping for factory Light Yellow.

When I first heard the name "Sahara Beige" I thought, "Oh hell no, I'm not painting my dream car friggin beige!" Then I saw a car that was freshly painted Sahara at the '05 Ventura show and I thought it was a very era-correct color.

I'm confused, your car was the bright yellow SC with the 'glass front and rear bumpers? That car is AWESOME. I liked it very much. When mine was in the paint shop (when I bought it) I really thought about going with a much brighter yellow like yours, or orange....but in the end went with original.

Where are the pictures? I know Slodave was snapping some. C'mon Dave!

lfot 04-29-2007 06:46 PM

Dave is probably still at the Fox & Hounds. Sorry I couldn't make it today guys. I met up with Radu, Dave, Chris, and Craig at the Fox. I know Dave and Radu will be there for a while. ;)

Dan in Pasadena 04-29-2007 06:52 PM

You're saying Dave is probably having "a bew feers"?
