try Loyola High School of Los Angeles, Jesuit College Preparatory School (google it)

then the one and only University of Southern California

Because if you do, either the ones behind you will catch up or the cops will. Either way you will feel pretty dumb sitting and waiting for these things to happen while at a red.

If you can't play with the big boys, stay in the sandbox.

i just don't get it. I've seen numerous people on pelican scold others for driving recklessly on canyon runs, quite frankly because its dangerous and it gives sports car drivers a bad name. (heres just one of many examples i can think of on the top of my head http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=325316&highlight=vralex ander).
But when this guy Banning brags about running red lights and driving dangerously fast on a road where theres houses, kids, familys driving along he gets praise????? I'm sorry but I just don't buy it...looks like you guys are brown nosing, rather than thinking. I know mullholland has great history, but everything has its time, and in this current time--Mullholland has lost it's lore. Its just too crowded--and too dangerous. Cruises on Mul are fantastic which is what I hope you guys are doing, and there are great empty roads not far from there which Joseph initially pointed out, (I failed at backing him up). I think if you guys are really goin at it, maybe the real driving should be held there where theres no traffic lights whatsoever.

And what gives you the right (banning) to be even IN "racing mode" on a busy street. Looks like you may need to travel back to the sandbox. I just hope one of my family members isnt driving opposite of you while your "racing" and may lose control.

anyways, once again im not gonna do another grammar check

remember, I'm the one who needs to go back to High School

It's unreadable.

Collecting just the stories from this thread would make a better book.

For those that were there.

California poppy leaves were used medicinally by Native Americans, and the pollen was used cosmetically. The seeds are used in cooking.

Extract from the California poppy acts as a mild sedative when smoked. The effect is far milder than that of opium, which contains a different class of alkaloids. Smoking California poppy extract is claimed not to be addictive.[citation needed]

A tincture of California poppy can be used to treat nervousness and, with larger dosage, insomnia.[citation needed]

The Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve is located in northern Los Angeles County, California. At the peak of the blooming season, orange petals seem to cover all 1,745 acres

The road all to myself. Hmm, I wonder why?!? Little did I know, that a Viper Green 911 was a couple of miles behind me...

Please avoid Mulholland, you don't belong.

Banning,

I do not know you, but you are making your character known quite well. I am on thinkfloyd's side on this. Racing on the street in this day and age, is just plain stupid. It is too easy to get involved with org's that sponsor on track racing events. Unfortunately, it is also too easy to do something incredibly stupid, like hit and kill someone while racing somewhere that is now unsuitable. After viewing the video a week ago from one of the runs, I can't for the life of me figure out why you would even want to race on that road - it seems from the vid that it would be better suited for a Baja 500 vehicle nowadays. I am NOT trying to bash anyone, but why are you bashing on thinkfloyd for be reasonable and prudent about this. Seems a bit immature to me. Officially off my soapbox...

The Chef 05-20-2007 06:59 PM

Ah. the infamous Ricinus communis plant. I have to remember that one. I had fun today. My right foot was feeling anxious though. I had the need for speed.

I guess you guys saw that cop after one of the turns. It was a quick brake and up shift.

slodave 05-20-2007 07:11 PM

Thanks for coming by today, Joseph. I had a feeling the green 911 I saw on Ventura was a Pelican. At least the run on the way back was fun. I have a fairly open weekday schedule. If you want, we can go hit up some of the other canyons...

Dave

It was a great day for Mulholland.
Thanks for coming to my house Derek, Radu, and Victor.
We have great plans.
Mulholland will live on through our stories.
It was great to meet you Joseph, and your 911 is very nice.
We will leave the losers behind. They don't belong.
Fantastic things are about to happen.

First of all, I am a resident.
Second, I am the event coordinator for the Ferrari Owners Club of the United States, and I am aware of the dangers of driving fast.
I appreciate that racing on public roads is wrong.
You are correct in taking the side of safety. No one wants to hurt any innocent bystander. I agree.
We don't want to revive the crazy old days, they are gone.
We also don't want some idiot talking about what he thinks Mulholland is all about. In this day and age, safety is very important on the road.
Please leave Mulholland to those that understand and respect it. The rest can stay at home, where they belong.

ThinkFloyd
Chris,
You have me in tears laughing so hard over this ThinkFloyd guy.
Every time I read your comeback post's I just keep laughing.

This ThinkFloyd clown clearly fits the description of the Mulholland Experience' 1985 timeline "Drug group".

I cannot figure out what this clown is doing on any thread on this website? This guy is annoying everyone and being an idiot.

I think after a few "what are you doing on this thread" post's he will go away.

Jeff
