6 person vehicle options?

So pretty much everything out there will carry 5 people, but what are the options for carrying 6? Ideally decent mileage and not scary.

I see a minivan in your future.

My F150 will carry six (three front, three back), but four more comfortably.

Mazda CX-9 looks interesting, as does the Subaru Tribeca (Tribeca isn't the prettiest girl in the stable though).

Minivan? I said not scary

Minivans are built for a purpose, one that they do well--just like a snow plow or a Porsche.

+1. With a crew cab. Why screw around with SUVs? The domestic half-tons are the best looking trucks out there IMO. Get a diesel if possible.

Interesting since I just went through the same dilema. I think the biggest problem is trying to find a car that fits ALL your needs. At some point, this becomes impossible. I drove the MB R's, X5's, Q7's, MDX's, and more. With each drive, I realized that I didn't want to spend $50k on a car that I wasn't crazy about, but simply needed. The only cars that are going to be half suitable are really going to short you on comfort. The new MDX or X5 have 3rd row seat that are meant for no one above 5' tall. This may work for some. The also can tow. These are still very expensive vehicles new. I recently sold my X5, which I loved, when we had our 4th. I then came upon the idea that I would buy two cars, one for my needs, and the other for my desires. I bought a 2002 Toyota Seqoia Limited for a little over $18,000. The thing can haul 8, tow 6200 pounds and last forever. Now I have my sights on a small 5 passenger sedan that I can drive when its just me and a few others. The S4 and 545 are ones I'm looking at.

We have a Mazda5... smaller than a minivan, but it still will hold six in a pinch.
