I hadn't seen it, so I'm glad you posted.
Yes, I've been under a rock.

The first time I saw it, it was posted on Jalopnik.
There was no barn hidden in the trees. There are ~180 cars, and they were found in a sealed warehouse in Lisbon.

RESPOST IT!!! For everyone who is tired of it, they can go play on another site. We need stuff like this to fire our imagination. I might even post an image of my post-barn-find [for real] 1966 Porshe 912 original.... still covered in dirt 2 years later ..now sealed up in my shed. Too neat the way it is to make it neat and too much fun to look at to sell it to some flipper.. Let's enjoy this stuff.. But, it would be interesting know the facts of this find. Regardless of where it is, it is very very interesting and though provoking.
Do many of you know about the French guy that has an incredible stash of old Ferrari,Lambo, Masers? All rotting away and he doesn't want to restore them. Doesn't want to sell them. Doens't want prying eyes. I have seen images of some of his cars and it takes your breath away. I just wish they weren't rotting further away each day but in some ways they are neater than the pimped up things we see at shows representing the older examples of these marques. I bet few of you younger guys realize the indifferent build quality, paint and finish that these had when new. The restorers and collecters have continued to make these much much better than when new. Old man Ferrari used to say "Ferrar is an engine" [ a nice excuse for the POS excuses for clutches, brakes, suspension and general build quality he produced. They WERE tasty to look at tho....] Enough from me. Anyone know of other great stuff like this? John Rice |

Yeah, I don't see the harm in re-posting topics such as this, which are different from, "Hey! Where's my dipstick in this thing?"

You would think that the people who stored these cars would have put some kind of covers on the cars! Why would they just be parked in a bldg like that? Bizarre!!
