yeah, the one I hate and see too often in my Yahoo mail is....

hey vhxtxcaweslbiuxisdsr,
OTC stock WXYZ is going to explode.. yadda yadda yadda..

Can't they simply filter out any email with words 20+ letters long in the subject line? Seems like it would be simple. No one I know has a vocabulary containing words over 6 letters.

Same here. Apparently they also think I need a penis enlargement. Have they been talking to my wife?

I regularly get spam emails for products claiming to increase the volume of my ejaculate by 400%. Apparently this is a problem for most men..

The latest batch thinks I want to buy hundreds of imitation Rolex watches. My spam filter catches about 98% of them.

I LOVE the spam that tells me that I have cheated someone on E-Bay, my PayPal account is in arrears, My membership is being suspended. I feel terrible for all those I have somehow taken advantage of. I am a real scoundrel. The problem, of course, is I have no PayPal account and have never registered with e-bay and probably never will.

And like Pat says, my spam filter dumps nearly all of these into a nice little file that takes one click to delete. Saves keystrokes!!!

What depresses me is the fact that spam must be a successful marketing tool, because it keeps on coming.

Apparently, there are people smart enough to use a computer, but dumb enough to buy v1a-gr4 through an offer via email.

I'll be buying my vIA-grA at retail prices, without a care in the world, once I help Prince Montabwe get his wrongfully seized diamonds from Africa.

Actually do we (men) really need a 400% increase?

OK......................enough of volume increase.............. what about the viscosity rating ?? Anyone addressing that?

Does that change as well?

Took me a month to figure out how to get rid of this one. Now they are no more!

From the "joke" thread:
"With all the spam we get for penis-enlargement pills, you'd think by now someone would have invented a pill that would shrink vaginas instead."

I read the other day that spam has gotten so bad that - on average - people receive 14 spam emails to every 1 legitimate one...

I suspect that my average is much, much worse than that. I think I probably get at least 100-125 spam emails per day and only the occasional valid email. I've had the same email for years now.

I get lots of phishing emails from various banks that I've never done business with, but my favorite email from a bank is from the "fifth third bank".

I'm not sure I get this either. I'm betting it's a bunch of 16 year olds that think they need to be painting with the stuff.

As long as fire isn't shooting out the end of my gun, I'm not sure I care, hollow points, bird shot, wad cutters, blanks, whatever. As long as I'm shooting it's all good.

Fifth Third is a real bank -- they bought out Old Kent, the bank that my parents used in MI. Why, oh why would you ever trust your money to a bank that sounds like it didn't do so well in math?

I love the spam filter avoiding emails that come with random words in the message subject. Sometimes, maybe after a cocktail, they seem almost poetic: "Washing Monkey Toilet" or "Turning Lecturn Really"

Sorta trippy...
