Quitting is hardly being a "man of honor". A military coup to remove this Idiot-in-Chief, followed by open elections would be far more honorable, IMO.

Historically, that's the only option of honor open to an officer. Anything else is treasonous. There is no authorization, lawfully, for anything else either.

That's why 35% of the US Army afficer corps who resigned and were commissioned by the Confederacy were rightly seen as having behaved honorably.
