Is The Stereotype True...Guys Who Drive Big SUVs & Diesel Full Size Trucks?

Two questions, so guys who drive big SUVS ( for example H1s or H2 DumbVees) and \ or PowerStrokes, Rams and Duramaxs (Duallies too), not company trucks but their own personal vehicles:

1) Do they really have small winkies?

2) Do they enjoy the intimidation factor of having a much larger truck, especially when riding the bumper of a small car like a Civic?

I ask as I overheard some guys recently talking about it, most of the guys talking about it own Turbo Diesel Rams or PowerStrokes. They were all having a good laugh about riding up on the rear bumper of small cars and also the fact that people have to "look-up" to them as their trucks sit so high.

I will not share what went through my own mind, as I walked off.

Yasin

Maybe you could measure them before you leave the stall and keep a log?

I drive a Ram 3500 t-diesel.
I got rid of my daily driver and bought this so that I could haul my trailer full of racecar/tools/tires/beer to the track. Unfortunately, that also made it my defacto daily driver - and as a daily driver, I hate it.

I would much rather drive something fun and sporty each day, and let my penis not be suspected of smallness. Of course, sportscar drivers have the same "small penis" stigma.

Maybe I should just sell it all and buy a Taurus.

Given the way most of them drive, I'd suspect the stereotype is true.

It cracks me up to go on construction sites and see every "male compensating" subcontractor driving around in gigantic V10 powerstroke diesel trucks illegally jacked up about 12" with monster tires - all to carry one small toolbox and a hardhat.

It's the same thing that makes certain guys "have to" buy loud obnoxious powerboats or modded-out quads. The whole penis-size-compesation/redneck thing. Maybe it's genetic. Dunno. I don't really understand it.

Must be true what they say about motorcycle guys and ones who need to turbocharge their vehicles. Probably split lanes ,too.

I'm sure that there is some validity to the stereotype of the truck owner, as well as the Porsche owner one, etc..

I have owned both, so my johnson is definitely suspect, but your momma liked it fine.

The truck is an awesome truck, but sucks as a daily driver. I am selling it soon, hopefully to someone who plows snow or otherwise has legitimate use for it. In my (slight) defense, it gets fairly good MPG on diesel and drives surprisingly well, but it is still pretty wasteful for carrying one person. Mine is just a regular cab w/ stock wheel size and ride height, but it is still big. I agree that raised trucks are a joke, and they are mechanically POSs. Like a huge ricer wing and fart-can exhaust on a Civic. Same thing.

I never terrorize innocent people on the road with my truck, (or any other vehicle), but I can be quite impatient with inconsiderate drivers jacking off or applying make-up no matter what I'm driving. So I suppose some (deserving) people have seen my grille fill their rear-view mirror on occasion.

I am sure everyone else will support my call for a lifetime ban on the first fool that posts: "This thread is useless without pictures!"

Don't even think about it!

Although I don't terrorize people with my 350 dually, I do like the look on their faces when I make wide right hand turns trying to keep from jumping the curb in parking lots. I never go over my line but those idiots that like to hug the middle of the road get these really big eyes thinking I'm about to drive into their door. Can't hear them nor do I care, but I can lip read the cursing directed at me. wish I had made a little wider turn the other day when I tore the rear spring off at the eye after grabbing a pipe with my rim. as far as the stereotype thing... it's not so much the size of my package that ever concerned me, but the size of the box I've had to pack it in.

Actually I bought my loud obnoxious overpowered powerboat to run down, slow moving, tree-hugging, latte-sipping sailboaters...

And if you dont like my Ram 3500 Daully Turbo Diesel riding the bumper, of your tiny foreign car,........Move over.

Seriously, where the f*^K do you guys come up with this crap???

I had some numbnut redneck in a diesel dually Dodge trying to intimidate me this morning while driving my lowered miata. Fortunately, I'm not intimidated easily. I'm not sure what triggered it either. About 6 cars went past as I sat in the center median waiting to go. After the last one passed I pulled out, the truck had bet in the middle of the group that I was waiting for. I rolled up to the next light in the left hand lane as all of the cars that had passed me were in the right lane. As I pulled up to the light the guy in the truck aggressively pulled over behind me. It seemed a bit weird especially how close he was to the back of me. When the light turned green he stuck to my butt and turned his lights on which seemed weird and like a ploy to annoy me. He then I pulled up and changed lanes and he aggressively followed me and swerved back and forth a couple of times looking like he was trying to warm up his tires. He was (right) behind me for about 2 miles. I then changed lanes and was able to put a car between us. He passed that car in the center median to be able get behind me again. I then managed to put several cars and some space between us and then turned. He ended up going straight. I never really felt frightened, but I definitely got the feeling that he was trying to intimidate me.

I know that when people are being idiots in their cars tailgating or whatever, they don't really want to get into an accident. I don't brake check, but I will let off of the gas with them behind me and let the engine braking slow me down. Under normal circumstances it wouldn't be an issue, but when they are surging at your backside it's usually enough to put a scare into them that what they are playing at could actually happen. It's amazing when they think that you are wiling to get hit in the rear how far back they usually end up.

So, it is assumed that anyone driving a dually is a "redneck"??

Guess I'm the first Northeastern redneck...
