Customer Paid with Paypal - Now Paypal Put Funds on hold. WTF??
Just got this email from Paypal below. I know it's legitimate and not spoof because I logged into my account and sure enough the funds were withdrawn and "placed on hold". Can they do that?
It doesnt appear that customer opened a dispute. It appears that Paypal is being a DICK. It would appear that they are trying to keep you from getting ripped off. If they find no problem, then no big deal. Your customer SURELY knows that Paypal is checking them out.
If they DO find a problem, you'll still have your goods and no one will have been ripped off. If you shipped it, I believe you will be reimbursed for the transaction. In 70+ ebay deals I have NEVER even once had a problem with Paypal, nor a problem that they didn't handle quite well. Let us know what's up. A lot of folks are certainly likely to find themselves in some similar situation if they continue doing online business. Good luck with this. |
