Fine. I'll start my own group. It will be uber elitist. So elite, in fact, that I will be the sole member.

(Man... that's gonna suck when the group tries to organize a track day. :( )

Hey, Wayne, we've been over this before on the bbs and in private. :) Still, that's the oposite position of the R Gruppe creedo as I understood it. Not that it violated anything, but that's the "inner circle" I mentioned.
I'd rather be with people that don't have an inner circle.

All this is being said in the utmost in friendlyness. I have nothing against the Gruppe. In fact, I support them. Well, 98% of them. ;)

+1....but those 2%? Well, they're why I decided to move on...and even played a role in my decision to no longer own a P-car, and being sure that the '72 will never return to USA soil...I did not want any of those 2% having a shot at owning it.

I MADE and sold the last SCWDP T shirts and as far as I can tell the group is dead. It seems to exist in name only.

On the other hand, us Mid9ers are brand new....and seem to exist in name only!:D

Yes you did. And I bought one.
And it hangs proudly between my concert t-shirts and my racing t-shirts.

Milt, last I heard he was doing well and searching for a 356...so, the plot does come to an end.

Where's that Pate fellow anyway? ...oh yeah, he also sold his SC.

Carreras rule, SC's drool...or something like that. [yawn]

Jim Richards 03-06-2007 03:09 PM

Black Audi Wagon!

Drago 03-06-2007 03:18 PM

The BAW has so jumped the shark. :D

Jim Richards 03-06-2007 03:45 PM

I bet it still has some cachet with R Gruppe.

Hey, who started that thread about the rant-gruppe and the BAW anyway? ...I think it was some guy who really likes a good train wreck . . .. what was his name .....?

Don't worry; what goes around comes around. We're slowly getting even - hell, we even convinced him buying an early car was a good idea. Then we convinced him that spending a small fortune on it to make it half the car his Carrera is is another good idea. We're all going to sit back and laugh as his life comes crashing down around him in one big powder blue (but cute) "poof". Bwaaaaaa.... He'll never see it coming...

island911 03-06-2007 06:01 PM

uh-oh . . they're learning and adapting. . .from us!

Official SCWDP announcement:

and I won't say it again.

Why would anyone want to join an organization that they have issues with in the first place?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1173273382.jpg

Join Bushwood? NEVER!

berettafan 03-07-2007 04:35 AM

that's the second time i've seen picture proof that the owner of that ST has the gnads to use and abuse his car! LOVE IT!

what do you guys do after a snowy run like that to keep the cars from rusting? i just can't imagine you can get to every nook and cranny with a towel?

Jeff Higgins 03-07-2007 05:08 AM

I don't know about Chris, but I POR 15'd the bejeezus out of my car before I painted it. Like me, he prepped and painted it himself, so I'm sure it has better rust protection than it left the factory with (as in none back then). We are fortunate in that our roads don't get salted around here; that is obviously a huge help. Myself, I just hose mine off, top and bottom, when I get home. Get all the sand and mud out of where it collects before it dries in big clumps and it seems to be o.k.
