Ah, but there's a secondary motive - if I get/keep myself in shape, when this one kicks me to the kerb, it will be that much easier for me, since I won't have devolved into a gelatinous blob.

This one is interesting. We went and played a couple hours of racquetball last night (at my suggestion) and then I took a ribbing when I said I was too sore to put out, since she spent an hour doing weigh training before coming over to play raquetball. Tonight will be 2 hours of volleyball. I'm whipped, but it's a different kind of whipped - the kind of whipped where it's hard to get out of bed the next morning.
