Great work! Loved the Metallica one and the "MORONS" one for Michigan. Hilarious!

Not really a banned plate...but I chuckle every time I see it on the interweb!

Somewhere I still have my ex's plate that she got for her Honda, and then 5 years later someone complained and the DMV asked for it back:

A similar one to "WAS HIS":

A national lab lost a whistleblower law suit in 2005 against a clerical lady person who got over 2 mil:

Kotla said most of the money will go to bills and family. But she celebrated the payment by ordering a personalized plates for her used Porsche, reading "LAB LOST."

When I first applied for the plates I stated that M.I.R.R.C stood for "Mulholland International Raceway Revivalist Consortium". They rejected the application because they say it promoted and illegal activity, street racing. I waited a couple months and reapplied saying it stood for "Mulholland Inspired Roadway Revivalist Consortium" adding that we were a group of engineering students studying roadways designed by Mulholland.
Guess they liked that explination better.

The "PVTDNCR" plates on my 911 got a lot of second glances also.

Kevin,

"PVTDNCR" as on the 911 used in No Mans Land? Was that your car?

I just thought the same thing. The car in No Man's Land had "PVTDNCR" - it was a triple black 930 Slantnose... best car in the movie.

I want those plates.

EDIT: I just did a little internet research... it was your car, wasn't it Kevin!? That is cooooool....

Yes that was my car. It was in a Taco Bell commercial also but it didn't run much here on the left coast.

I've got a friend who's plate reads 8008135. Yes she's female, and yes it fits quite well.

There was one in SF a few decades ago on a very nice Rolls Silver Cloud. Dunno how he got it by the first time but once he got some press the DMV took a second look and yanked it:
