One of the best male vocalists ever, IMO. The only other guy with those kind of pipes is Paul Rogers.

Steve Perry was good, no doubt, but nobody could hit the high notes like the ones in "More Than A Feeling" like Bradley!

I saw a t-shirt several years ago that said, "God must love rock-and-roll, because all the greats are in Heaven with him"...something to that affect. Brad Delp surely has gone to the Divine Rock-and Roll Hall of Fame.

On my list of all time favorites, but I never did get to see them in person.

I talked to him briefly on the phone in 1979 or 80. He was a friend of a friend.
At the time they were working on an album, probably the second one. He told me there were a bunch of weird looking crazy guys in the next studio, tearing up everything and making allot of noise. He said the name of their band was "the cars".

That's a shame. I've never considered myself a Boston fan, but I've always liked "More Than a Feeling." He died too young.

Edit: As Billy Joel once said, only the good die young. May he rest in peace.

It's funny how many of these guys are practically neighbors (within an hour or so of me);

- the late Rod Price from Foghat
- Brad Delp
- Peter Wolf and the J. Geils band periodically turn up in town
- Aerosmith still seems to live in the area too. Their drummer is part owner of F1 Boston and can be seen down there some time. I met him briefly at a pre-opening event and he certainly looks like a burnt-out, old rocker, but I guess he's pretty quick on the track.

Boston really has had an awesome music scene for years.

Anyone else ever been to "The 'Rat"? Unfortunately I got there too late to have ever seen the Police or Aerosmith play at that venue. I did see Joan Jett do a show there once. Awesome place!!!
(I digress...)
