I had a buddy back in highschool with the last name Fuchs. Its pronounced "Fukes"/"fooks", but of course we always called him something else

Yes it was made in Austria (some of them) with Renolds 531s. My first real racing bike I rode in USCF races as a junior in the mid 80's just like Connie Carpenter's. Same ugly green color. For those old rodies, remember her?

Isn't it Astro Daimler? It's been so long, I might be wrong. Many bikes back then were hand build by small factory and stamp their name or stickers on it. Was your Renolds tubing or Columbus. I have seen both on them. Sorry for hijacking the thread. I just couldn't resist.
