So we've had a real hard few weeks...(look at me in the pics; it shows
![]() We're burnt out, worn out, fed up...too bloody early in the year to feel this way! We even missed the one Historic meeting we NEVER miss down here this weekend at we couldn't muster the energy ![]() Finally I shook the cobwebs away and we took the kids for a drive in "our backyard"... these pics are taken about 20 minutes away from home. Thought it might be nice to share "our tree change" with you guys ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by lisa_spyder; 03-12-2007 at 05:29 AM.. |

I took my hovercraft out this weekend, to a half frozen lake.....................it's good to get out.
![]() Salt on the road will keep the Porsche garaged for another six weeks.

I'll second that! Seems like all we've been doing is working - it's like pushing ***** uphill with a very small shovel...the kids have been great about it; but it's not fair...
Oh - no salt to worry about down here; but we may get some snow where these pics were taken if the conditions are right this winter ![]() |

I never post pictures on my kids on the internet.
Just something I don't do, I don't know why but I don't.

Imagine having a car like the silver one...and NOT DRIVING IT for a whole year
![]() ![]() ![]() It's been a year since I've done more than move it around the workshop...sometimes life sucks.... and the car positively HATES not being driven! And jeez I sound b!tchy! Sorry guys...just miffed that we didn't get to the Historics this weekend I guess - sleep was more important...I did get my fair share of that for a change ![]() Last edited by lisa_spyder; 03-12-2007 at 04:53 AM.. |

Lisa,
Nice pics, thanks! I know what you mean as I didn't get to drive my car last summer due to mechanical problems. I just took a 3300 mile trip to Florida and back to make up for a bad summer last year and the Porsche ran great! Hang in there...

Hey Art,
I was just reading the thread about your trip...glad to see you took the P-car! Looks like you had a ball; despite a couple of tiny hiccups ![]() The silver car was Dad's baby and I used to berate him when he didn't make the time to use her regularly...now I'm the pot calling the kettle black ![]() Doesn't help that our road laws are now such that if I DO drive her to even half her potential it would be "lock that woman up and throw away the key" stuff...she doesn't take well to being driven quietly all the time I'm afraid ![]() |

Zoltan; you are always welcome down here - no invitation needed
![]() The car is indeed gorgeous (thanks guys) - but it's getting me down not having the time to use it. I can't really drive it during the week - this morning both Mike and I got stuck in several inexplicable traffic snarls on our way into work from our little "nirvana"...the ol' girl fouled a plug and all I could think of was the lightweight clutch being NLA as I was on and off it 1000 times or more ![]() I kept carving my way to the front row off the lights - so I could take her to redline just to keep her healthy...at least the traffic around me was well behaved; no-one trying to slide up her butt just to check out the badges to work out what it is (this is the usual scenario - I drive with one eye firmly on the rear view mirror). But Z-man; you're right - the little pleasures are priceless...like this great big hug from my 14yo Tom who loves his Mum soooo much (but I'll bet I love him more ![]() ![]() Yikes - I look like crap - I really have to slow down a bit! |

The blue one is the cruisy car...does everything right; minimum of fuss; no fanfare kind of car. The colour is a head turner; no doubting it.
It's nicely set up - handles really well for the road use she gets; point her into any corner without hesitation...and cruises on the ton very easily... the silver car on the other hand bites HARD if you're not paying attention - short wheel base; swing back axle etc etc....she'll keep anyone on their toes! She's kept me pretty busy more than once; but that's the fun of it! |
