I was recently reading a thread where the moderator was accused of de facto censorship for banning a controversial poster. That is not fair.

Point and counter point does not mean all's fair.
In a community where participation is voluntary there should be a level a of civility, not censorship but civility.
The Pelican staff has determined the level and without their consent there is no community.
The actions/comments on the board reflect the community and standards of civility to protect the populous at large seem reasonable.
I enjoy posting here but if it becomes a haven for attack artists and hate speech I will excuse myself from the table as many have done already.

Good job Pelican, as always, you continue for offer a great space for learning, debate and reflection.

I, for one, totally agree with his comments. It's the countercomments by some of you guys that I don't understand. Are you being rude and antagonistic because you have nothing better to do, because that's the way you are or are you just incapable of civil discourse?

We at Pelican thank our moderators -- who volunteer their time to watch these forums. Most of their time is spent deleting Viagra spam posts, so it's not all glamour.

They just don't care for the Hitlary potshots.

what, you guys don't sell Viagra? makes me question why we are here....

As for the Hillary statement, I'm doing a marketing survey to determine the profitability of a bumper sticker. Just good old capitalism at work.

The more complaints I get the better the product must be.
