"Your date's over, mister"

Interesting story in today's Chronicle about a guy spotted slipping his date a mickey (twice) at a local bar. Hopefully, he can learn about "date rape" during his rehabilitation...

Excellent and hope that he has a date with Bubba in the house of doors, every night for six months for what he did.

He deserves every bit of what he got and more IMHO.

Sad thing is, the guy prolly had a decent chance with her - most likely didn't have to be a cowardly shmuck and try to drug her.

I'm sure he'll be wide awake for his prison goatse sessions.

Chalk one up for people looking out for one another. Good to see.

From the article:
"Earlier, he had picked her up in his BMW after her classes at City College. "

Natch. You know, 'cause rapists always drive BMWs.

In typical fashion...he automatically gets 6 months of the 1 year sentence suspended... real nice. the POS got lucky. Lets hope he gets
saddled with registered sex offender status for the rest of his life.

What made him suspicious was probably the fact he was a guy on a date with a GIRL in San Francisco.

An ex-girlfriend of mine (well after she was an ex-girlfriend) got scopalomined and raped while on vaca in Mexico, and a Fulbright colleague of mine was given a drugged orange and raped while in Namibia.

The opportunity to extract some small degree of revenge for these women would have been impossible to resist. I'd have kept the first glass as evidence, and shoved the entire other glass (not just the beer... the whole glass) down this guy's throat.

... and school administrators are driving BMW's out there?!?

A BMW can be a $1000 car. I guess that they were trying to make the point that he was some kind of Dating Game catch material, but I don't know(?)

And unfortunately it doesn't sound like he will be wearing the dreaded rapist label in jail or be a registered sex offender since he was not able to complete that part of the (planned) crime. All they could get him for was a narcotics violation, so he gets to be a drug felon in jail. Unless of course someone spills the beans. We can hope.

Happened to an ex-girlfriend of mine... very traumatic. It was a "friend" of the family, they went out for a couple drinks and she came to in the wee hours on his couch. She never said anything, because their parents were close.

In speaking to friends of mine, there is A LOT more of this than we would suspect.

A pretty, small. blonde with a Russian accent taking classes at City College and they meet at Salsa dancing. This guy didn't have to drug her, she would have screwed his brains out without the micky.

The guy is a fool and should be arseraped just outa principle!

UNICEF Devolves
A dangerous leftward slide.

By Douglas Sylva

Radical feminism has a way of attaching itself to a healthy institution like a parasite. Such was the case with the Girl Scouts, the YWCA and, now, UNICEF (the U.N. Children's Fund). UNICEF is a particularly tragic example of this parasitical relationship because, in a sea of international organizations beholden to ideology, beset by incompetence, or bedeviled by corruption — or, usually, all three — UNICEF long remained close to its original mandate: saving the lives and improving the conditions of as many children as possible.

Evidently, I'm a bit slow today. Posted to wrong thread! Heh.

Will try to fix.

EDIT -- fixed. *whew*. I think I checked in on this thread while researching the response to the other (kids imagining conversations at dinner table), and, well... I crossed some wires.

Heads will roll. Heads will roll.

JP
