I once got a call from a guy in Pasadena who was refered to me because I know Aston Martins. He had bought one cheap, like $500 from some little used car lot because it had been chopped into a station wagon. Turned out it was a genuine DB5 Shoot Brake (station wagon) made by the factory. I think they made 12 of them. In a moment of sheer stupidity, I told him what it was.

Tell him the car is a Cuda with wierd stripes along the side with three letters AAR. And you think the car was re-painted because it's a god awful purple colour. The motor has been modified. There are three small carbs instead of one.

I finally received a response today...

"Just so happens I'm into cars. How about sending pictures and/or writing down the info for each car. Please send a contact number, too"

I'm going to tell him that "I will try to take pics with my crappy cell phone" (without flash lol) and "right down the imfermasion for each car"

Of course I won't give him my phone #

Now to sift through the suggestions and put a fitting offer together.

Rick,

If you can really bait this guy in- and have him offer you peanuts for what would be very expensive cars, you should set up a meeting, then have a camera set up and a life-sized cutout of Chris Hanson (the guy from 'Catch a predator'). Guy walks, in, voice says "Why don't you have a seat over there?", bunch of guys come in laughing and it's all on tape!

Good luck with it,

Paul.
