Disagree with initial topic...agree with Techweenie's comment
...Ive made a ton of jack over the past several years and everything
is the same as it was when I was tending bar and going to school (actually I had a lot more women back in those days lol) except one thing that has improved: Money buys Time and Freedom.

Any improvements in a persons social life is more likely due to an improved self-image
that has been created in their minds based on the new found jack.
True self-actualization however, is based on non material things...but if
the money helps you get there then more power to you.

I have a nice enough stable yet go out on dates with my 16 year old Honda station wagon. If a girl lasts 2-3 dates in the Honda then she might get a ride in one of the nice cars but not before. If she lasts in the Honda then I know that she likes me for me, not my money or toys.

Your flashing the 512 is like waving flags at girls and others. They now think you are worth a lot of money and they want that and not your personality. The people who were not friends with you before now either want a ride (or drive) the nice cars and could give a whit about you personally.

Take your pick but a real friend, or girlfriend will like you with a moped or whatever, but the hangers on are following you just to get something. When you really need a friend, they will disappear, and leave you with the people who really care about you. Your choice...

Gee Wayne so since I am confident bordering on arrogant...maybe those Caribbean hunnies really DO find me attractive?

My previous DD was a 1983 Subaru BRAT. My wife met me, and didn't know I also had the Porsche for a few weeks after we met. I most definately agree with Joeaksa in that regard.

If you have a flashy car so that other people will know you have money you are:

1. Most likely a tool-shed anyway
2. Likely to attract the wrong people for the wrong reasons

In closing, if you don't want those people around don't tolerate or encourage them.
