Anyone here ever try this? (lawn tool)

Anyone here have one of these? Does this thing really work as advertised?

I would be concerned about the price of the batteries for that trimmer & it's durability. All my stuff is commercial Stihl, spendy, but reliable. It gets lots of use.

I usually buy Echo and Honda gas-powered lawn gear, but this looked interesting to me. I really need an edger, now that I have a nice, healthy lawn.

Not sure but looks like it works well. My dad uses a Grass Hog trimmer, I believe made my Black and Decker. It too is battery powered and works really well. It is about the same price. I too am in the market for a trimmer... if it ever stops snowing... and I too will be looking for a battery powered trimmer. Much less maint and hassel, at least that is how I see it anyyway.

Yeah, but Infomercials can make almost anything look good... Just like movies trailers and previews can make any movie look good, even "Norbert"!

I had an electric lawn-mower (120VAC) and loved it. Why mess with batteries, is it really that hard to drag out a 100' or 150' cord?

For $40 what the heck. The charge may not last long, but it charges back in an hour which gives you time to sit back and enjoy a few chilly ones.

I prefer the Echo brand myself. I've got an SRM - Split Boom with several attachments that has proven to be invaluable for keeping up my yard. The edger, lawn trimmer, pruner and hedge trimmer all have earned there place in my collection.
