Anyone else playing Guitar Hero II for the 360?

First let me say that this is probably the best video game I have ever played. It is very addicting!

I am having trouble on the Hard level, anyone have any advice on where to place your fingers on the buttons to be able to hit all 5? I've read on some sites where they say you should put your fingers on the bottom 4 buttons (RYBO) and get the green one with your index finger when needed. The problem is that there are several songs where you have to hit red or green in succession quickly and I'm having trouble doing that with one finger.

I can't decide if I should just take the hit and suck for a while to learn the new position or keep my fingers where I learned (GRYB) and either get orange with my pinky when needed or slide up the neck to get it.

Anyone playing this stupid game?

This game truly is addicting, especially if your looking for an excuse to avoid studying. Such a simple concept that when i first heard about it and watched people play it i thought "your a bunch of fools for spending hours a day doing this" i quickly learned my lesson as i became one of those "fools."

Regarding hand position i haven't done any reading on the subject, but have founds that i have the same problem with the hard level. But i also play with my finger on GRYB but it does make it difficult to hit the orange with your pinkey. I have also heard that you need to be able to strum up and down to be able to do the fast sections well, but haven't had any luck trying this.

I've had it for PS2 for a while now. Started off with one guitar. Now we have two guitars...one wireless!

I was hooked for a LOOONNNG time, but never got any good at the Hard level.

I even got another Pelican (cstreit) hooked, my wife and I gave it to he and his wife for Xmas....I believe he got yet another Pelican hooked!

seems to me that you should take the time invested in the game and pick up a real guitar.

Cant help with the game, sorry. I think its great, tho. This game has an enormous following and is helping to introduce a lot of kids and adults to the idea of playing a guitar and listening to decent music.

Actually I am thinking the same thing. I have been kicking the idea around of learning to play guitar for a few years but never took the plunge. Now I am looking at different guitars and reading up on a good guitar to learn on...

The game is still fun though!
