Cool You guys'll get a kick outta this...

So I just found and joined an online guitar and music gear forum, and was scrolling thru the various threads, and what did I see...thread titles containing Fuchs, Weber, and RS! I was like, wow! Who knew that the same words could be popular in not only Porsches, but also musical instruments...I guess it's true that I learn something new every day...

Just thought that was fascinating and thought I'd share it with you all.

They make Zildjian air filters?! lol I have always liked Zildjian cymbals over Paiste...as they were what the drummer in the Doors used, and a lot of jazz drummers besides, so yeah...

You'll really peak interest if you start in about lubrication...

Yep!
Fuchs would be Fuchs Audio Technology, a great high-end amplifier buildler. I know Andy Fuchs, and as it turns out, thee's a slight possibility he may be related to the Fuchs wheel people, if in fact there was a Fuchs family...he's looking into it.

Weber would be Ted Weber, speakers and such..

And RS would be RS Guitar Works, who happen to be one of my own dealers.

Look around, and you'll see references to me, no doubt.

What forum did you join?

Thanks for the info Wolfe! I had no idea those words existed outside of the Porsche world...

The forum I joined is called The Gear Page (www.thegearpage.net) and my username on there is GibsonSGgirl.

Cheers!
Katie

I've told Wayne he should feature Tama pistons. And Richenbacher seat covers.

Nice to see ya over there, I'll keep a lookout for posts by you. My username there is just "Macleod"
Try searching "Wolfetone"

Another good, small, off-beat forum is www.axehouseconsortium.org , but you gotta have nuts and a thick-skin to deal with some of those guys. Although it's all meant in brotherly (or sisterly) love, we like to take jabs at each other on occasion. Friendly bashing, I guess.

And don't forget about the Les Paul Forum, and I think there's an SG forum, too.

Nice axe choco!

Pete Townshend was using the same model SG I have when he played Woodstock. Have a look. Shame I wasn't born then, I'd have wanted to catch it when he threw it into the crowd after their set.

Speaking of PT, I was listening to the Who's My Generation album last nite...neat early stuff, with lots of (early) R&B influences.
