Went to the SB PCA breakfast w/bike on my 911
Didn't think it was THAT big of a deal....but it caused quite a stir. Some liked it, some called it a sacrilege.....I just have a fat ass and I need to lose weight before full on bikini season hits. Did the breaky with a cuppa and an English and hit the road for a quick 20 miles.....
I had changed PCA regions for three years because the local club was more into the "whine and cheese" thing and I had a tiff with the past prez....we gotta new one and looks as if they will let me pursue an AX at the locals showgrounds......nice crowd but STILL average 15 year/age older than me.....geeez, ![]() ![]()

Ingenious actually, not seeing why there's a problem with it.
Borrow a black Audi wagon and drive it to the next meeting.

Thanks...I have a full four inch clearance for the sideways mounted skewer above my head as the Recaros seats are lower than stock and my AX helmet doesn't hit either.
The mount cost me 18 bucks, a bungee cord and three self tapping hex heads for the roll bar. The bike is a combo Crome Moly and carbon with a Campy Chorus drive train.....another 15 lbs and I will be able to use the aero bars without having to suck my gut in.....

People who don't ride wouldn't understand. Great way to get the bike around. I made a custom bike rack for the back of my Targa. Doesn't quite have the visual affect as yours.

Mike, I like your style.
I think it's "OT" because it isn't tech-related...but some of the stuff in the tech forum shouldn't even be there....whatever.

Since it's in OT I can beeyotch about it some more. There's gotta be 20 plus "Hey what kinda bike rack do ya use" threads.....
Anyhow, when I went with the backdate to a long hood the rack I used to use wouldn't work anymore. It sat on the SC style rear bumper that crossed where the license plate is.....so I had to improvise.

I don't mean to be negative (I am a high mileage cyclist), but the rear of that bike does not look properly supported with only a rubber band holding it in place. You really need to anchor that wheel or the bottom bracket solidly to avoid it swinging loose on you or some poor passerby.

How could that be sacrelege?
Most PCA people just have no idea. BTW, car looks better than ever Mike. Hey, did you see the thread on the 17" Fuchs replicas? Those would look awesome on your car with black centers to match the Carrera script.

"nice crowd but STILL average 15 year/age older than me.....geeez,"
It's not age. It's the attitude that makes a difference. Unfortunately, people tend to become more conservative as they age. Should be the other way around in MHO. Sherwood |

Nice racks (first time said to a dude), but ditch the aero bar unless you do timetrials. They are very very very unstable.
Nice car too.
