I'm building my new garage er house. 6200sq feet under a/c plus 3 separate garages to fit 8 cars (before lifts are installed), my enclosed trailer plus a 15 x20 workshop with its own full bath...
I guess the 2 trucks will have to sleep outside ;) |
I believe our CCR's actually require that everyone keeps their garages clear enough to park 2 cars inside (they are all 3 car garages). However, you are not required to actually park inside, which makes it a pretty odd rule.
I would love to have a 4-car garage or a full 3-car with a workshop/storage area. That will be a priority for the next house. With this one we were just damn glad to HAVE a garage vs the tiny 1-car carport and tiny driveway we had before. |
I choose to live in the boonies and have a simple split level house with 2 car garage (1 bay is filled with a hottub mandated by my wife with fibro mayalgia). My wifes car sits in the garage and my daughters' 924s typically sit outside. I keep most of my other cars in my 60 x 100 hangar.
You will just have to trust me on this one, you can NEVER have ENOUGH storage space! My pole built hangar has a large area for aircraft/car parking, a paintshop which doubles as my auto repair shop, an office, a bathroom and a workshop filled with wood working and metal working stuff. They are interconnected with internal garage doors. When I first moved here, I thought I could never ask for more, but now I am looking into adding a lean-to type structure for more room. Garage/shop space is like money.....one can never have too much. ;) :D http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1176681735.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1176681798.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1176681839.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1176681901.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1176682274.jpg |
Damn pilots with their hangers...:)

My dream house is an old fire station.
Live upstairs. Cars downstairs. Not to mention the pole. :D |
