Look what else I have that redlines at 7,200 RPM...
 I put this little Hitachi 80 gig SATA 7,200 RPM drive in my MacBook along with 2 gigs of memory, and damn if it isn't the fastest computer I've ever owned. It's at least twice as fast as when it came from Apple a month ago. Basically a $200 upgrade for everything, and takes about five minutes to do. For any laptop owner, I highly recommend this effort.

That's the 1st mod I do to any laptop. So worth it.
Get a MacAlly Fierwire case for the old drive. I ve got three set up and they are great. Don't bother with the USB powerede cases, they require 2 USB ports to get enough power.
