I just can't care anymore

I can't! I'm supposed to feel guilty because I was born white, because I have a house, because my government does what it does, because Sunni's and Shia's hate each other, because African leaders continually slaughter their own people, because I have stuff that I worked for (including my education) and other people don't have this stuff, or they're not white or they don't have a house. And all the while politicians are putting both of their hands into my pockets, corporations are sending jobs overseas and I'm supposed to give a damn about what Imus says? I just can't care anymore.

I'm going to the pub

I hear ya brotha - I threw my hands into the air years ago. The pub sounds like a great idea but wouldn;t ya know it most are not letting you smoke cigars in them anymore. Pretty soon you won't be able to swear or fart in them eigther.

Time to set up a sub-culture, private club like they had 150 years ago - what were they called again? Oh ya, opium dens.

vodka /coke? I can honestly say I have poured vodka into all sorts of juices and Fresca, Grape Soda and even Ginger Ale but I have never mixed it with coke. Hmmm. I wonder what it would taste like mixed with Root Beer or Cream Soda?

An old buddy used to drink it like water, but used diet coke. I hate diet pop of any kind, but with vodka for some reason, it tastes good. I keep regular coke (not quite as good) in my hangar fridge and vodka in the freezer. I have tried pepsi and other colas and it is just not the same.

So shall I...but like Hawkeye Pierce, I'll just wave a picture of a can of coke near the glass of Vodka

One other thing, when does the statute of limitations run out on white guilt? When is enough enough?

I'm only half-white, so I've got a head start.

I was a news junky also. I quit cold turkey, while it wasn't easy I am more relaxed for it. Onramp is right, step away from the news and feel better. It is too damn depressing.

I'm assuming there's a bottle of Hangar One vodka in there.

Could not be better, Mike. Pictures will be posted soon.

I can't thank you enough.

Now, frankly, I am offended that you asked. My lawyers will be in touch

Took a tour of the Mount Gay rum factory yesterday here in Barbados.

That is the only thing on this entire limestone rock that actually goes 24/7. Was actualy fairly impressive. No free samples tho.

Ha....No I am afraid it is just some cheap russian sounding name vodka from the local liquor store. Kamachatka or something like that.

I was a gin martini drinker in my single days and loved Tanquery, but cheap vodka works just fine for me now

opium was $10/ lb in the 1920s downtown in China Town.

after a score the guys would lock themselves up in an apartment with other guys, girls, and some cops for days. Those that survived through the war loved Germany for inventing methadone.

I was born a poor black child...

Zinfandel and a cigar for me when I get off work... is F1 running this week end?

News? You guys crack me up! There hasn't been "news" reporting on TV since Walter Cronkite retired... it's all infotainment now. Bleh... I would rather watch reruns of Iron chef.
