Tight, slower tracks (streets) where the smaller and nimbler porsches have an advantage over the larger more powerful audis. That's one of the reason they are put into two different classes.

Add me to this list. It's not going to be aired on TV until the 29th. I was trying to hold out until then.

A thread with "SPOILER ALERT" in the title would have been fine. I would have chosen not to read it.

I don't really care for street circuits but I went to Houston to check out the ALMS. The Penske operation is simply overwhelming. At least 16 crew guys for both cars and spares up the kazoo - including full bodies that have their own roll-around carts. I was standing along their portable fence in the paddock (6' panels with RS Spyder logo'ed on 'em), and a crew guy comes over and adjusts the panel I was next to so it lined up with the others - perfectly! Yikes, talk about obsessed. The RS Spyders are beautiful, fast, and well turned out racecars - but I can't help but think they lack charisma. That's unfair perhaps, but the aero technology of P2 limits the body design to what works best. In profile, an RS Spyder looks considerably similar to the Acura, or the Audi for that matter. It's fun that Porsche has won both of these races, but these cars were not built for street circuits and it seems like a shame to see them beat to hell in the concrete canyons.

+1

I'm so glad I bothered to Tivo the race so I could see it. Guess now I don't need to.
