I'm here for a week. Anyone got any recommendations for restaurants in the area? Aren't you from around here, Legion?

Not sure what you're looking for, but food and drinks: Go to Rose Bud for dinner at least one night. For drinks, try Quigley's Irish Pub. There is a Thai restuarant that I like, but it's not downtown. It's called Thai Lotus, in the shopping center on the corner of Rt 59 and Ogden.
DOMO 77 on Ogden just open, and I've been waiting to go there. It's owned by the same people that own another DOMO 77 that I like. Other than that, go exploring on foot downtown Naperville. Lots of restuarants and things to see. I don't know if they started yet, but the park district puts on an orchestra show in the band shell on Thursday night behind Quigleys. It's outdoors, so today's rain may not be good. Last edited by MotoSook; 04-26-2007 at 03:57 PM.. |

There is a Mexican restaurant in downtown named Potter's Place. It is right downtown on Jefferson avenue. It is one of my favorite restaurants, nice casual atmosphere, relatively inexpensive, about 6-10 for an entree and maybe 3-4 for a beer. If it is a nice night, take a stroll around downtown and see what strikes your fancy, there are a number of great places in Naperville

Noah,
I live in Naperville... I'll PM you my phone number. If you're around, come by the shop and we'll blow off some oxy-acet or something. Untill what day are you here? Good places to eat (most downtown) Dinner on an expense account: - Sullivans Steak house - Catch35 - Hugo's Frog Bar Good lunch eats: - PotBelly subs - Potters Place Late Breakfast: - Egg Harbor Bars: Quigleys Pub Fox and Hound

I haven't stepped foot in Naperville in 5 years. I will say that Potter's Place and Rosebud are top notch. (I thought Rosebud and Oberweis were torn down?)
Check out Traverso's on the south side...I had my first job there washing dishes. Top notch, home made Italian food.

Noah930 If you just happen to be strolling around and come across a small gift shop called "Cocoon" its my wifes sisters shop. They have homemade soaps and such nice place to buy a small or large gift for someone special. Its in a small house very nice people and they will be sure your pleased.

Head to Rezas for some FANTASTIC middle eastern food. Wife and I have not lived there in 8 years and we still crave it.
Keep it simple and get the 'Combo' with dill rice. Or spice it up a bit with the Koubideh Combo. Both delicious. http://www.rezasrestaurant.com EDIT: Rezas is in Chicago, but they appear to have a new Oak Brook location, which is much close to Napierville.
